Oodies

Gt86 · 14/12/2023 17:47

After all the gushing reviews on MN, I ordered an oodie on 26th November for a family members Christmas present.

I received an email on the 30th to say it had been dispatched using Royal Mail 48hr service.

The tracking says that RM are still waiting to receive the item.

I've emailed them to find out what is happening, only to be told that I have to wait 14 working days to get a response!

Looks like I won't have the gift in time for Christmas then.

So, aibu to think oodie.com is shit?

My flat is literally freezing. I ordered an Oodie and then realised it's probably going to be summer by the time the bloody thing arrives.

SparkIehoof · 14/12/2023 18:08

Similar happened to me last Christmas.

I panic bought three hoodie blankets from Online Home Shop, they were about a tenner each and they were fantastic. Arrived within 48 hours. I ended up buying myself a couple and they're holding up brilliantly. Buy the extra long teddy ones, they're almost ankle length and the material washes brilliantly.

SparkIehoof · 14/12/2023 18:09

Similar happened with Oodie I should have said!

Singleandproud · 14/12/2023 18:10

Order one from Kudd.ly it'll be here by Saturday, extremely quick delivery and send the Oodie back.

Ilovecakey · 14/12/2023 18:10

I also have ordered one for my daughter back in November after I saw a link on here saying they have a black Friday sale on and I'm also still waiting for it. Its meant to be one of her Christmas presents so I'm hoping it comes in time. It's making me a bit reassured that others are still waiting too so I know it's not just that it has got lost or something. Does anyone know why they are taking so long to come?

somethingisnotquiteright · 14/12/2023 18:13

Think I got lucky 😳
I ordered one a on 11/11 when they were reduced to £36.
Had dispatch email on 14/11 and it was delivered by Royal Mail on 16/11!

Flimpychunk · 14/12/2023 18:14

They are a bit shit I ordered one two years ago which did arrive eventually and also ordered a kids one this year mid November which arrived recently.

I would say that the quality of the oodies makes up for the rubbish delays and customer service though, hence going back for another this year! I did buy other versions last year but they just weren’t the same.

SgtJuneAckland · 14/12/2023 18:15

I ordered on 9th November, still nothing other than generic delay emails, can't get an actual response from anyone

Cherry8809 · 14/12/2023 18:16

I ordered one on 21st November, and it got delivered on 4th December.

2 weeks delivery with no advance warning wasn’t great…

EveSix · 14/12/2023 18:18

That's a pity.
I found a couple of sellers on eBay selling customer returns, slight seconds and overstock at a fraction of the price; seem absolutely fine and arrived very quickly.

I looked at those but wasn't sure if they were real..

LoreleiG · 14/12/2023 19:58

My sale oodies took two weeks to arrive.

Before ordering a replacement from somewhere else beware that sale reductions may be non-returnable. Mine was for a birthday present and unfortunately I did give it to them late.

Sweetlily99 · 14/12/2023 20:28

@Gt86 I'm still waiting for an oddie order from mid Nov... dispatch / warehouse issues I was told who knows. Need to chase again

Anonymouseposter · 14/12/2023 21:23

I’m waiting for 4 oodies which were ordered mid November. They’re supposed to be Christmas presents. I emailed but it’s 12 working days before you can expect a response

muttley68 · 14/12/2023 22:16

Mine arrived pretty quick this year. Last year I ordered two and when I complained about them not arriving, a couple of days later four Oodies arrived. Theyd sent my order twice, tyvm 😉

vipersnest1 · 14/12/2023 22:19

I ordered a Silentnight dupe when they were on offer (£15 for an adult one). It arrived promptly and is fab.

U2HasTheEdge · 14/12/2023 22:26

Mine took two weeks.

It's thinner than the one I bought two years ago though. It's still amazingly warm, and my old one made me too hot if anything, so I don't mind so much. There is certainly a noticeable difference though.

BeingATwatItsABingThing · 14/12/2023 22:30

We all have ‘oodies’ from Amazon that are super warm, have lasted all year with no issues, a fraction of the price and prime delivery.

Owlsoutsidethewindow · 14/12/2023 22:32

They're very expensive for what they are. If you search sherpa oversized hoodie on amazon, you will find virtually the same thing, and it'll be with you tomorrow with prime or in a couple of days without prime. You'll also pay around 60% less.

catbuttonmyhead · 14/12/2023 22:34

I bought one couple of years ago. its lovely. I bought another one in early November and it's awful in comparison to the original.

I'm shocked they're from the same company using the same description.

Dee1224 · 14/12/2023 22:41

There are several threads atm full of people - me included- who are waiting in vain for Oodies.

If yours was ordered in November with no movement via tracking, they may have lost it. That’s what happened to my order, but I only found out after someone from the Oodie responded to my review on Trustpilot- all my emails to customer service had been ignored.

They are a dreadful company.

Hibye23289 · 14/12/2023 22:45

Why is everyone not getting one from other shops? Yes they may not be that brand but does the same job.....

teaandtoastwithmarmite · 14/12/2023 22:47

I ordered oodie's for me and DD last year but long before Xmas and they came really quickly so not sure how they've got shit

AdobeWanKenobi · 14/12/2023 22:53

IME Oodies bought from other places are thicker, better quality and ultimately wash a lot better than the ‘official’ ones. I found the one I bought last year to be quite disappointing if I’m honest.
Paying for the name.

EveSix · 14/12/2023 22:55

Celtic,
I wondered about that too.
I bought two, and apart from a couple of long threads which had been left untrimmed and were peeping out of the front pocket, they were in great, as new condition and definitely authentic. DM bought genuine article for a couple of DGC last year and these look and feel just the same. The labels have been cut, but I can still see enough of the stitching on the initial 'O' and the final 'e' to compare, and they're definitely real.
