To sneak McD's into the cinema

fr4zzledmum · 09/12/2023 16:03

Going to a tea time showing tonight - McD's is right next door to the cinema so was just going to buy DC a Happy Meal and pop it in my bag to eat when we get in there.

Cheaper than a hot dog at the cinema. I don't think it's particularly a bother smell wise, as people have nachos and hot dogs etc.

AIBU?

It's sad that a 4 year old sees McD as a treat. Start them on the road to fast food early eh?

Mind you this is a load of bollocks ^^

Kids of parents who are this uptight about food, tend to then become uptight about it themselves.

It's perfectly feasible this child sees McDonald's as just as much of a treat as other much healthier foods.

@Behindyouiam Yes, I was well aware you were being sarcastic. I was being sarcastic right back at you.

@SocksAndTheCity I was inferring you had weight issues due to the amount of crap you were gleefully saying you ate.

Sorry, where did @SocksAndTheCity say what she ate?? I must've missed it! She said what was served?

I like the data when people could read and comprehend, but my god nowadays....

Shocking!

SocksAndTheCity · 09/12/2023 18:35

I made no mention of what or how much I ate in my post, @AzureBlue99 ; only what my local cinema sold. Reading comprehension isn't your strong point, clearly.

And I'm a size eight, not that it matters. I suspect the posters who are apparently surrounded by fat cunts every time they set foot outside their front door don't live in Zone One.

My eyes have rolled so far into the back of my head.

My eyes rolled so far back into my head that they rolled out of my ears and down the road a fair bit. Now that is going to screw with my menu reading at Everyman Cinema when I get to go......

I am just so not happy! 😉

@allmyliesaretrue Live a little? Eating low rent food is your idea of living it up?

🍟 🍔 😋

McDonald's 🤢. The smell must have been awful for the other people

This!

Edited

I also pointed out @AzureBlue99 lack of reading comprehension, it's so lacking these days isn't it!

You aspire to be the parent of an uptight child with food issues?

I mean each to their own but that's just weird.

No, just stop putting others down for their choices.

I just believe in live and let live. Maybe that's what I should have said. I'm not an irritating food snob either. I cba policing what other people eat. Unclench.

McDonalds is one of those myriad of foods that aren't half as nice as they used to be. I used to enjoy the odd one (how low rent of me!!!) but now it just tastes like cardboard - but each to their own.

My local cinema has signs prohibiting bringing in if external food and does bag searches to enforce this rule

Bag Searches ???!!

Relaxed night out.

@SocksAndTheCity You might have a point about Zone One. I was born in Zone One and moved out 30 years later. Not that living in there is a badge of honour like you seem to think it is. But in the UK, low renters travel and they are everywhere. Go to a theatre (in Zone One) and you see behaviour nowadays you didn't used to, but at least the theatre staff are straight on it.

You forgot to acknowledge your complete wrong interpretation of @SocksAndTheCity post?

Any reason?

I know. All that organic quinoa and home grown mung beans must fuck up people's eyesight as well as their ability to grasp basic principles of human nature.

I'm also interested to know when pie and mash became 'crap', but not that interested.

Let's see now; you have criticized other people's weight, though you have no clue what they weigh. You have criticized other people's parenting, eating choices, and cinema behavior. I must ask, "Were you born this rude, or is it due to the way you were raised? If not that, did you take courses on how to be obnoxious to people you have never met? Oh, and speaking of weight issues, I am guessing your inflated ego and judgmental azz weigh a lot. Makes me wonder how you manage to haul it all around?" Oh, and before you get all whiny about my post, you should remember that if you dish it out, you'd better be able to have that dish served back.

Holy shit really???

PlanetOfTheDogs · 09/12/2023 18:44

The smell is no worse than the hot dogs cinemas sell. I don’t know how people cope with leaving the house, nevermind going to the cinema. 😬

SocksAndTheCity · 09/12/2023 18:45

Badge of honour, @AzureBlue99 ? It's where I live, nothing more.

How are you seeing all these words in my posts which are not there? You sound absolutely fucking nuts.

Perhaps a 🍔 might help the concentration levels!

Ours used to do this. In reality it was a teenager asking to look but taking no interest in the contents at all. They looked in my sons greggs bag, which clearly had food in and just waved him through. 🤣

Go on, you know you want a 🍔, it'll help your arse cheeks unclench!

Or maybe a kebab?

PlanetOfTheDogs · 09/12/2023 19:03

Would now be a good time to mention that a cinema not too far from us has dog friendly showings? That seems to really bother some people. They get really worked up about smells and dog hair. Next time we go with the dogs, I might take a McDonald with us, they love a burger as a treat. 👀 🤣🤣🤣
