Girl at work on Only Fans

FunnysInLaJardin · 04/12/2023 21:09

Found out today that a girl at work was on only fans. They had to tell her it wasn’t suitable and so I think she stopped.

I find that all most odd. Just the feeling of lifting a stone and finding all sorts underneath. Not comfortable at all with it and now wondering who else is at it

I think it's really depressing that so many women are doing OF, often thinking it will be an easy way to make money. Aspiring to be a sex worker is a new low IMO.

I don't think it's something to aspire to but then neither are many other jobs. My job isn't aspirational! I don't judge what others do to get by.

MrsTerryPratchett · 04/12/2023 21:58

A man at work told me a female coworker is on OF. It made me think a lot less... of him.

He was on there himself - looking . He's no better than she is .

FunnysInLaJardin · 04/12/2023 22:25

May bump again for the daytime crowd if I can be bothered

Don't waste your time, us daytime crowd have exactly the same opinion as the night time crowd. Mind your own business.

KimberleyClark · 05/12/2023 09:30

TinDogTavern · 04/12/2023 21:16

It's none of your business. I'm not entirely sure it's your employer's business either unless you're like a nun or something.

Surely it could be if she’s in a public/customer/client facing role, if one of them recognises her on it.

TheFormidableMrsC · 05/12/2023 09:30

I don't think it's anybody's business. It's certainly not thread worthy.

I'm daytime crowd and I think you should mind your own as well.

Why is it noteworthy? We are all sexual creatures in different ways and what she does is her business, not yours.

Baffledandalarmed · 05/12/2023 09:38

MrsTerryPratchett · 04/12/2023 22:26

Why?

So she can get the responses she wanted about how disgusting the woman is for using OF.

It's her business. No one else's. No Ops. Not ours.

People can do what they want with their bodies and everyone else can beak out.

LanaL · 05/12/2023 09:39

Why are you not comfortable ? In what way is it affecting you ?

you don’t know the reasons that led her there! Maybe she wanted extra cash , maybe she desperately NEEDED extra cash , maybe she realises that it’s her body and she’s proud of it and society sexualises women constantly so why should she not make money from it!

I think it’s terrible that she has been stopped! If she’s working in a school , or with children / teens then I get it but other than that I don’t see why she can’t and I think it’s absurd that you have been made uncomfortable by it when it does not impact your life in anyway and is , quite frankly, none of your business

TheSpruce · 04/12/2023 22:25

Anyone else noticed these someone at work is on OF threads appearing fairly regularly?

Always lacking any real detail, just a few goady lines which hope to get a pile on. Pretty much always fail.

Yep. One a week ago about someone's dh being the boss of someone on Only fans. Load of bollocks I reckon.

Messymaker · 05/12/2023 09:55

Don't like being judged do you op? Maybe you should apply this feeling onto this colleague of yours because all this judgement you are receiving for your ridiculous feelings is what you are doing to her about her work.

Strugglingthroughitall · 05/12/2023 10:03

KimberleyClark · 05/12/2023 09:30

Surely it could be if she’s in a public/customer/client facing role, if one of them recognises her on it.

Surely if a customer recognised her from it then they are on it themselves?

I hate posts like this - for all you know the woman is absolutely on her arse financially and this might be her only solution for an additional income. I’m quite sure that not many people choose to be a contributor on OF for just the kick. What’s wrong with keeping out of other peoples business??

ghostyslovesheets · 05/12/2023 10:08

How did you ‘find out’ this ADULT woman was on OF?

it’s not your business

User135644 · 05/12/2023 10:09

It's seedy as fuck. One thing doing it if it's your only option.

roombaclean · 05/12/2023 10:12

PonyPatter44 · 04/12/2023 21:21

This. How did anyone find out? Are your colleagues a bunch of pay pigs?

Not everyone hides their identity or hides it well. Someone could have looked her up for innocent reasons and discovered her page in the search results. Could be technology like PimEyes too. It's hard to believe employers aren't utilising it.

housethatbuiltme · 05/12/2023 10:14

Are you uncomfortable finding out a colleague is pregnant, I mean that most likely means she had sex. The whole world now knowing a penis was in her vagina... stone lifted (clasps pearls).

bostonback · 05/12/2023 10:16

Sorry to be harsh but I really despair at people like you.

Grow up and focus on your own life. You sound like a gossip with a small mind.

ManateeFair · 05/12/2023 10:16

I don't understand what this has got to do with you? How does it affect you or your work? Even if you personally have a dislike for OnlyFans or glamour modelling or whatever, I don't understand why you're bothered about someone else doing it. She's not doing it at work.

I note that you describe women on OnlyFans as 'sex workers'. Some of them will be sex workers, yes, not that it's your business. But lots of them won't. Do you also think underwear models are sex workers? What about actors who appear topless in a film? Also, do you realise that lots of people on OnlyFans aren't even appearing nude?

Also, describing a 45-year-old woman as 'a girl' is weird.

ManateeFair · 05/12/2023 10:21

User135644 · 05/12/2023 10:09

It's seedy as fuck. One thing doing it if it's your only option.

It doesn't matter whether you think it's 'seedy as fuck'. It's still none of your business.

Also, bear in mind that plenty of women who do OnlyFans are just women who happen to get a thrill out of it. Who are you to police women for getting their kicks from taking their top off or whatever? It's up to them.

FunnysInLaJardin · 05/12/2023 10:29

Lelophants · 05/12/2023 07:40

all these comments saying “mind your own business” and yet in another thread these same posters would say it was distressing and men were just using her. Yeah I’d find it really weird too and personally I do think it’s sad these days.

Indeed.

Safety in numbers when a thread is heading in a certain direction.

I see if you are a teacher it would be a different matter. Why would that be? What if the teacher is desperate for money and OF is her only option? Or anyone who works with children come to that?

OP posts:
fingerguns · 05/12/2023 10:46

I think if you work with children or are in a position where people look up to you, like an exec (not middle management), then I do think having an identifiable OF is inappropriate. If not, and it's not affecting her work, then it's up to her. I don't think work should be getting involved in her private life unless it's affecting either her ability to work or other employee's perception of her work.

FunnysInLaJardin · 05/12/2023 10:50

so its only appropriate to be on OF if you are doing a menial job and no-one looks up to you?

OP posts:
wineoclock90 · 05/12/2023 10:50

None of your business

Cornettoninja · 05/12/2023 10:50

How’s the daytime crowd working out for you OP?

Halfacnut · 05/12/2023 10:52

FunnysInLaJardin · 04/12/2023 21:46

Ok, so obvs I wont mention it and will keep my beak out.

She is 45 and very well paid.

Just a bit odd is all, suppose we aren’t all sex workers

A 45 year old "girl"?

FFS.
