To delete my Guardian account

I'm fed up with them. They were always pretty heavy handed but now it's like they zap anything that doesn't perfectly tow their "party line". This morning I saw the most banal comment get deleted and I have also been modded for no reason IMO.

To top it all off I'm just so sick of seeing a "colonialism is alive and well: here's why" article literally every week.

AIBU to delete my account on the guardian and move to a new paper? Feels sad, I've been reading the G for 20 years. Where do I go?

Used to think it was a great read but these days it is just for trans/ non- binary/ whatever with obligatory blue hair generally living in london (or brighton at a push) and earning a six figure salary.
Just as much propaganda as the daily wail now.

I used to read it. But sometime around 2014 it got shite. I switched to The Times but gave it up because of Giles Coren, India Knight, Camilla Long misogyny. Quentin Letts finished me off.

Nowadays I buy a couple of Guardians a year to pass myself and only buy The Times when the Tories are being extremely vocal about the death of their party.

I’d been a BTL commenter for years and read the Graun for even longer but I’ve given up. I’ve never forgiven them for hounding out Hadley Freedman and Suzanne Moore, and made it perfectly clear they were willing to throw women under the trans rights bus.

Their hysterical coverage of Covid was the last straw and I took out a subscription to the Times.

I get the ft at weekends and cast an eye over my dh's guardian. Yesterday they had a WHOLE PAGE on pastel del nata!
