Nursery painting 2-4 yo nails

My 4 year old DS returned from nursery with his nails painted and said it was varnish day at nursery and that the teachers were painting the kids nails. Is this normal? The kids are between 2 - 4 years old. They seem a bit young to me.

Bit permanent for nursery. You don't know if they're off for a formal photo session after nursery or something. You also don't know if a parent is an extreme homophobe or something.

People are way too uptight. The same people who think it's unacceptable for childcare to have the TV on for a bit at the end of the day to allow staff to tidy up and kids to wind down.

That is the parents issue. You don't accommodate extreme homophobia!!!!

To be honest, even if it was regular polish, it wouldn't have bothered me. I'd just see it as a bit of fun and thats all I want my little one to do at nursery, have fun.

I wouldn't complain but if you're dead against your little one having nail polish on, just ask the nursery not to do it, or provide kid friendly nail polish if you don't want your DC to miss out.

It isn't good for their little nails and I wouldn't want to have to use an organic solvent to remove it. I would actually be furious.
