Fuck you, McDonald's

Those of you only interested in telling me I'm unreasonable for eating in McDonald's, can save your fingers. I'm not going to be back in a hurry, Christmas fucking music (Noddy Holder followed by Tom Jones) and worse, they've changed the barbecue sauce and now it's minging. I came in here for some emotional eating and I'm leaving enraged. Angry

Last few times I’ve had a Maccys it’s not been great. Bar the new sour cream and chive dip, that is immense. Better than Dominoes one!

They money they make from my 30ps as its horrific trying to a refund from Uber ears when you use the McDonald's app

I live in a Maccys-heavy area (honestly that now deleted poster would probably pass out from rage walking around my town). I refuse to order from one for this exact reason, they never put dips in the bag. I want to ask, are they dip deficient? Do their drivers have a dip addiction issue and eat them all in the car? Do they just hate me and my need for sour cream? I’ll never know…

Good to know that there’s two BBQ sauces now. I do like the “normal” BBQ sauce with my fries.

I really like the sound of jalapeño sauce but my biggest bugbear is why there is never mayonnaise as a dip? Fortunately my local McDs is about a two minute walk away so I bring the filthy deliciousness home and use my own mayonnaise…but WHY isn’t it available as a dip?

Ah, see, this is where KFC comes into play. They do an amazing garlic mayonnaise dip.
Dipping thier fries (albeit inferior to McD fries) into garlic mayonnaise is the best.

McD could learn athing about starting a mayonnaise dip.

The RIGHTEOUS McD dip combination is sour cream and sweet chilli sauce. Both, together at the same time.

BBQ sauce is for beginners.

I can't deal with Maccy D's any more. Everything tastes like deep fried cardboard. Cold deep fried cardboard when you get it delivered!

I have McDonalds about once a year, tomorrow might have to be that day. Will have a sleeping DS in the car (🙏🏻) so will order from the comfort of my car and avoid hellish Christmassy earworms.

Last time I went, I couldn’t be arsed with the drive through, and from the moment I walked in, till just before I left (it was busy so about 10-15 mins) there were at least 4-5 deliveroo/Uber eats orders just sat at the counter waiting to be collected..

that shit must be ice cold by the time it gets to where it’s going!

I'm a fuss-pot and normally order a plain burger. Once upon a time I was served the bread bun. No beef.

More importantly, in Mendoza, Argentina, you can get MALBEC in McDonald's 🍷
(Which is a great idea but actually doesn't go very well)

Just last week, normally nice and not brattish youngest DD moaned with a lip wobble that we'd not been to McDonald's for literally years. So we had one as we were on a long drive. I was dreading it.

It was bloody lovely!

I had a plant burger meal.

Finally, a relateable mumsnet thread. If the regular bbq dip has been omitted from my brown paperbag, it renders the entire meal null and void, so I totally stand with you OP. Smoky bbq is permissible in an absolute dry chip emergency, but it is in no way a genuine substitute for the good stuff. Your meal, and perhaps your life, was ruined today. Do better Maccy Ds.
