Those of you only interested in telling me I'm unreasonable for eating in McDonald's, can save your fingers. I'm not going to be back in a hurry, Christmas fucking music (Noddy Holder followed by Tom Jones) and worse, they've changed the barbecue sauce and now it's minging. I came in here for some emotional eating and I'm leaving enraged.

May i recommend the brownie.

The smokey BBQ sauce has been there since I worked there in 2008. But it's only for the chicken selects and it's like pulling teeth getting staff to give it to you even if you order a chicken selects meal so I am very surprised they gave it to you OP.

Honestly they are going down the pan, lazy beggars aren't even open Xmas day so that's ruined my plans for Xmas lunch. And in all the times I've been there I've yet to hear their theme song, do they not have a farm after all?

I thought the dips in the round pots were the ‘fancier’ ones that you only get with chicken selects…. I’m more than happy with the sweet n sour for my nuggets 😆

So if you're not willing to take any where do you suppose all the DC that you want to be taken away from their parents go? Are you saying they'd be better off in a children's home than with parents who for all you know cook a freshly cooked meal 364 days of the year??

Strict parents create sneaky kids, and I’m willing to bet making fast food taboo will only make it more appealing! It’s far more skilful parenting to allow your kids a range of foods in moderation, let them enjoy occasional fast food and also educate them so they know they can’t eat it too regularly than it is to ban it completely! Homemade burgers have their place, but they don’t come with special sauce, a side of fries, three chicken selects and 6 nuggets 🤤

I am partial to the sweet curry these days. So much so the last time I went, at breakfast time, I bought 4 tubs must have looked so weird but I live over an hours drive away.

Christmas music is to be expected everywhere from now on. It's the people that work there that have to listen to it all day I feel for!

The sauces have changed! McDonald's used to manufacture all their sauces in the north west, near where I live. They've moved production, and last I heard they couldn't get the same taste due to the different water hardness in the new area. That bit might be bullshit, but that's what people are saying.

Try "pancake syrup" in American food shops/aisles. It was usually Aunt Jemima brand but I believe she's been renamed for PC reasons.

Some kind of corn syrup I would guess, the most unhealthy sweet stuff you can find. No idea what they added to it.

I went out with a friend once who peeled his chicken in kfc.. it was quite the ordeal sitting opposite, I’ve not been since.. 😳

I can talk though, I’m not a fry dipper, but I do like a mouthful of chicken nugget and a mouthful of chocolate milkshake at the same time.. I also dip my Big Mac in sweet & sour sauce too. I make no excuses.

I have felt the same since they stopped doing the sweet mustard dip.

I have never eaten a Macdonalds I didn't regret.

For sure their burgers are yummy, their fries hit the spot.

And within the hour of that happy consumption you just can't shake the film of grease on the roof of your mouth.
