Stupid other driver

Where I drop my kids off at Granny's is a small side road off a residential road in a small town. The side road is a dead end that leads to a health centre and day care centre. It has two lanes at the junction with the 'main' road but quickly narrows for a short length as you go towards the health centre. When it was built they didn't leave enough space for full width pavements so there are narrow pavements and then a bumpy kerbed bit to stop cars going on the pavements. I've added a rough sketch.

I generally reverse into the side road and stop after Granny's parked car down the side road to drop my kids off. It only takes a minute. But the stupid cleaner for the day care centre tends to arrive at about the time this is happening (7am). She drives round the corner into the side road on the wrong side of the road (because of where Granny's car is parked near the corner) and then stops when she sees my car.

She won't reverse back into the 'main' road to let me out and seems to think there isn't room for her to pull over to the left after Granny's car. She just sits there waiting for me to reverse further down the side road to a wider bit so she can get past to the care centre car park.

It's still dark at 7am. When she sees my lights why can't she just stay in the 'main' road, or behind Granny's car until I've dropped the kids off, or pull over as soon as she's past it? I think there's enough room for her to pull over. She must be a rubbish driver if she thinks there isn't.

@Gormley it's not a bad diagram though, OP. Not exactly Van Gogh standards but certainly better than anything I could do. and probably better than your driving.

The problem with a reverse is that the op is likely to twist the description to paint themselves (the real person they are ) in a better light so it's hard to have any faith that it's an accurate depiction of the scenario.

I wouldn’t have reversed back onto the main road, the person dropping the kids off should reverse as it’s them blocking the road. Also granny’s car is parked far too close to the junction!

But when you are on the receiving end of entitlement annoyance (from Granny and the other driver), one's confidence is dented.

Always reverse onto the major road. That way, you are farthest from the point of impact.

I'd be inclined to suggest that there are no stupid drivers as such, but there's an entitled one writing this post.....or an attempt at a reverse sceario....which I meant to add and have since seen confirmed.

You have far too much time on your hands if you can make a post and diagram about this non problem. Nobody should be reversing back into a main road! Let her through and stop being an arse!

You can't do a driving reverse from the other perspective. It just doesn't work. You have already made a decision about who's right and wrong so you still present it unfairly

I don’t understand how you’re the one blocking the whole road and think the other person is in the wrong. Perhaps you’re making her late for work every morning by blocking the road when she’s just trying to get to work?

I'm glad it's a reverse but I do wonder at the stupidity of a lot of drivers nowadays.

Your the one in the wrong here, I would take a long hard look at your own driving before you start criticising others (who aren’t doing anything wrong considering your the one causing the blockage)😂

Oh pardon me your ladyship! Is 'the help' annoying you with their 'low working class' ways? Much better that the lowly cleaner should wait for you to complete your much more important business or back her car into a main road in the dark so that you aren't inconvenienced by having to back a little way down a much safer empty road. You are clearly entitled to do whatever you please at the expense of the (apparently stupid) working poor.

You’re blocking an access. It leads to a healthcare centre. What if an ambulance needed to get in?
