A horse for me too.

Bonjovispjs · 09/11/2023 11:54

A chihuahua.

A horse (finally got one in my teens)
Tap dancing lessons

I wanted tap dancing but my DM was prejudiced against it (I think it was associated with "putting your daughter on the stage"). I started to learn a few years ago but then I broke my leg! (not tap dancing!)

I've always wanted a buckskin horse. I've been slightly obsessed with horses all my life, but have never been in the position to own one. I'm 53 now and probably will never get the chance...I want to call him Cheyenne...

I really have to start riding again!

AhBiscuits · 09/11/2023 12:09

Tickets to a Bon Jovi concert.

A bedroom with a window seat to sit on and read.

This would take considerably more savings than I have so I might have to opt for the Weebles playground.

It has to be said, the Weebles playground is a fine choice.

BlossomOfOrange · 09/11/2023 12:12

I hear you @MyDogNala. I had an unbroken (awful term but I guess it works 😢) pony from age 11, parents knew nothing about horses. Not ideal, to say the least!

5128gap · 09/11/2023 12:15

A wooden playhouse in the garden that looks just like the seven dwarves cottage. It would have a little bed with a patchwork quilt and a little stove. and be lit by candles. And id let myself sleep overnight in it whenever I wanted, even on school nights!

ThinkingAgainAndAgain · 09/11/2023 12:16

A dog. My mum was terrified of them, and my dad didn’t want the commitment of having one (despite having grown up with dogs) and so we never had one.

Now that I’m in a position to have one of my own, my husband is allergic. Even if he wasn’t, I probably wouldn’t want the commitment and responsibility of one though.

FourNonBlondez · 09/11/2023 12:19

ALL of the Slyvanian families!

FourNonBlondez · 09/11/2023 12:19

ALL of the Slyvanian families!

Ooh yes! Every single thing! And a dedicated room where I could keep them set up all the time. Actually...I'm very tempted...!

A Sylvanian families tree house and camper van

I found the campervan on Gumtree and am giving it to my DD for her bday! I can’t wait to (watch her) play with it! 🤣

FourNonBlondez · 09/11/2023 12:22

I have been eyeing up the sunshine nursery bus for my DD, but realise it comes without the little figure, so would need to invest in those too!

Neriah · 09/11/2023 12:25

I don't need to because I did it - a trip to the Galapagos Islands. Or the trip to Egypt. Or..... (there's a long list of trips!)

IncompleteSenten · 09/11/2023 12:25

Enough coal to have a fire every night.
Vegetables.
A secure lock for my bedroom door.
Toilet paper

Pity party this way 👉👉👉 🎻 😁

MegaBlox6 · 09/11/2023 12:28

@Soapon we must be a similar age. I was going to say the sylvanian families house too. My friend had one and when I was about 6 it was the best thing I'd ever seen in my life.

Hotandsunny · 09/11/2023 12:32

A pair of expensive comfy shoes

ReadtheReviews · 09/11/2023 12:33

Yes to the intricate dollhouse.

SleepingStandingUp · 09/11/2023 12:33

Mr Frostie

One of these

I had one. Best thing EVER

SocksAndTheCity · 09/11/2023 12:34

All the Lego modular buildings and lots of road pieces so I could construct a magnificent city which has a fairground and a space station. I would also need a flat big enough for a spare room to build it in.

Newstaronthehorizon · 09/11/2023 12:37

I have a gorgeous horse and a perfect gentleman pony so I recognise that I am being greedy here...but I would like to have a miniature donkey for my 70th birthday. The only trouble is, you are supposed to get a pair, but because I already have equines, would it be ok for me to have only one do you think ( to the knowledgeable donkey owners out there? ) Happy to get 2 though if needs must! 😂

JesusMaryAndJosephAndTheWeeDon · 09/11/2023 12:40

Mine was a horse, finally bought one in my 30s after asking for one for Christmas and Birthday every year and dreaming of my own horse for as long as I could remember.

She was worth every penny and has brought me immense joy.

Newstaronthehorizon · 09/11/2023 12:41

To those in the know...Are jack donkeys noisier than geldings or Jennie's? I used to have a jack donkey and he was quite loud!

Mountainhowl · 09/11/2023 12:44

These, and a Mr frosty machine

Asked for them on my Christmas list for years but never got lucky (pretty sure my mum thought I'd break a leg in the boots)
