Isla Bryson also fine. Barbie Kardashian also ok.
Oh and those on the fb page This Never Happens, too.

But otherwise, it's all fine.

itsfinallytime · 07/11/2023 16:30

AccidentallyWesAnderson · 07/11/2023 16:29

What about Katie Dolatowski? Happy to share your spaces with him? Isla Bryson? Oh let me guess, they aren't REAL transwomen.

Back to that true trans test again.

In the meantime I'd prefer to keep all Males out even the lovely tw like @justteanbiscuits relative out of our spaces.

Women and girls deserve better, so much better.

MyGooseisTotallyLoose · 07/11/2023 16:30

@itsfinallytime the poster you've quoted is perfect evidence of their demands of hierarchy and the pathetic 'no true trans' crap!

Tandora · 07/11/2023 16:00

Once again, trans people exist , it is not an “ideology”, it is a legitimate and real human experience, that has existing throughout time across all human cultures.

Ah yes, the historical records from before writing was invented.

Bingbangbollox · 07/11/2023 16:31

Nanny0gg · 07/11/2023 16:21

You'd better have a word with some of the Trans lobby about that then...

No ta. I don’t engage with the batshittery on that side either.

I never said it was offensive to be a transwoman.

A man can wear what he wants, call himself whatever name he wants, he can even persuade some people to go along with him and help collude in his pretence that he is a woman. What that man cannot ever do is claim because he said "I am a woman" that he actually is a woman, because he is not and never will be.

He is a transwoman and if he wants to help with widening the bandwidth of what it means to be a man then great.

But he is not and never will be a woman. That word is already taken.

He is a transwoman

In your mind, What is a “transwoman” then? Don’t you see this is all semantics? We are so angry over semantics.

No (sane) trans woman would claim their body is the same as yours. So why are we arguing? Can’t we agree we have different bodies, but we all have the right to live our lives in a way that feels authentic to us, with dignity and respect?

You (perhaps) say that “a transwoman” is not “a woman” because “a woman” is defined by her (female) body, but trans women point out that women - as we live in the world- are actually defined by so much more than this. This is a true fact.

People see me and relate to me everyday as a woman, they know very little about what genitalia I have.

Not to mention that there is so much variation across female bodies. Not all of us have ovaries, not all of us have wombs, some of us have lots of body hair etc etc.

What are "we" defined by as women then? What do I as a woman have in common with all women as well as a group of males who identify as women?

Ereshkigalangcleg · 07/11/2023 16:37

Not all women, I beg your pardon. I obviously don't have those things in common with those female people who reject their sex.

Hystorectimies, mastectomies amd things like pcos that cause excess hair are all exclusively female conditions/surgeries

@justteanbiscuits what you said was reasonable and rational ❤️, dont worry about the vitriol and accusations being hurled your way.

Ereshkigalangcleg · 07/11/2023 16:39

I'm not defined by my female body, it's just my sex. It's one of the things which define me, and a relatively important one. We could sort the world by whether you have an innie or an outie belly button, alternatively, but it wouldn't be quite as meaningful.

In my mind a transwoman is a man. Nothing more nothing less just a man.

so he can use mens spaces and enter mens sports and go in mens prisons.

everyday people look at you, recognise and relate to you as a woman without scrutinising what chromosomes or genitalia you have.

supercalie · 07/11/2023 16:41

To claim a category like "woman" is only semantics is only semantics if you yourself never have the need for devices directed only at women that specifically need protecting from men being allowed in.

For example, male teachers being allowed or not allowed to sleep in female only accommodation with primary schools girls on a week long camp.

This question is academic unless you're one of those primary school girls or people who care about them.

The men teaches who aren't allowed in that accommodation aren't claiming male-phobia or that all men are being accused of being abusers. It's a safeguarding issue and it's not semantics at all.

exactly! So you are erasing, denying the experience/
reality of trans people. This is transphobia!

Tandora · 07/11/2023 16:38

@justteanbiscuits what you said was reasonable and rational ❤️, dont worry about the vitriol and accusations being hurled your way.

Saying that no trans woman has harmed a woman is neither reasonable nor rational and nor is it true.

@Tandora are you saying that none of the trans women I mentioned are genuine trans women?

And are you saying that women & girls being harmed by TW, sometimes in what should be single sex spaces , Katy Dolotowki harmed girls in the women's toilets in a Morrisons Supermarket and Karen White in a women's are prison are acceptable collateral damage?

Ereshkigalangcleg · 07/11/2023 16:42

In my mind a transwoman is a man. Nothing more nothing less just a man.

Exactly. It's not a value judgement, or a personal insult. There's nothing wrong with being male. I just don't consider males to be women. It's a category error.

justteanbiscuits · 07/11/2023 16:43

supercalie · 07/11/2023 16:30

@justteanbiscuits
Are you too triggered to understand the analogy?

What if I said it's not ok to put a Tory flame on someone's lunchbox and claim "it's just a blue lunchbox" is actually early indoctrination?

My son had a labour sticker on his lunchbox while in primary school. He wanted it on there. Was I indoctrinating him?

And nice to throw accusations like "triggered" around. And people wonder why there is no possibility of sensible discussion of trans issues in order to find a safe middle ground.

MaggieBroonofGlebeSt · 07/11/2023 16:44

itsfinallytime · 07/11/2023 10:24

I agree that the trans flag has come to symbolise an anti woman political position. It has no place in children's marketing.

Not wanting children to be politicised has nothing to do with hating trans people.

Are we seriously asking our children to 'be kind' even when we know it harms children, especially female ones?

It's not uniquely damaging to girls. I don't want my DS getting his willy cut off when he's older either, thanks.
Either way people can say what they like; biological reality won't change.

I supposed it would be transphobic to prevent a trans woman teacher from sleeping in a girls dorm.

What I want to know is why that is safe but a male with a DBS wouldn't be?

AccidentallyWesAnderson · 07/11/2023 16:44

@Tandora what's reasonable and rational about saying all transwomen are harmless? People have given examples to the contrary. How is that vitriolic?

Though to be fair you've danced around and deflected pretty much all of the reasonable questions put to you, so I won't hold my breath on this one.

Thank you for continuing to shine unintended light on this madness though.

Ereshkigalangcleg · 07/11/2023 16:44

exactly! So you are erasing, denying the experience/
reality of trans people. This is transphobia!

I guess that's too bad, given that they can't change people's beliefs and understanding of reality by fiat, and it's what most of the world believes. It's your ideology, not mine.

Tandora · 07/11/2023 16:44

Anyway I’m out, because this is going nowhere and the level of ignorance and transphobia and denial of the existence and realities of trans people is just making me so sad, angry and depressed.

I know but the impact on girls is wider reaching given the erosion of their single sex spaces.
