Believing that all any male person has to do is declare that he is a woman and we must validate this is an ideology, and it's one i do not share, and I reject in the strongest terms.

Tandora · 07/11/2023 15:56

itsfinallytime · 07/11/2023 15:51

Yes my transphobia was pointing out the harms of 'the right side of history' on female children.

My transphobia and ignorance was simply pointing this out.

It was a post aimed at me that was deleted. Not at my request as it happens.

I don't agree with Tandora although I respect Tandora's right to an opinion. It's a shame that doesn't go both ways because what I see is Tandora calling concerned mothers bigots and Tandora claiming to be a feminist whilst dismissing the impacts of their beliefs on females as transphobia.

Where Tandora appears to get confused is by saying those of us who question Tandora's beliefs are harrassing them.

It is not OUR fault that Tandora's belief system has more holes in it than swiss cheese and that we want to point this out on a public forum.

You continued to berate me when I chose to ignore your post.
i ignored it because it was incoherent and transphobic. When you continued to insist I replied, I afforded you the courtesy of explaining why i ignored your post. Nothing ”abusive” about it. Absolutely ridiculous it was deleted. I can only assume the mumsnet moderator had not read the context.

Being trans is not an ideology.

Being trans is not an ideology but a belief that gender is more important than sex is.

It is this ideology that makes you think that female people should be kind and ignore males in our spaces.

Many women don't want you in our spaces but this does not mean we do not think trans people exist.

Tandora · 07/11/2023 15:52

It’s not offensive to be a transwoman. Suggesting that it is a offence to merely exist as a trans person, is the definition of transphobia. It also displays a gross ignorance of what it is/means to be trans. I’m sure someone will come along and say I’m “abusive” for saying this, but it’s the truth and it is imperative to call it out.

Edited

I never said it was offensive to be a transwoman.

A man can wear what he wants, call himself whatever name he wants, he can even persuade some people to go along with him and help collude in his pretence that he is a woman. What that man cannot ever do is claim because he said "I am a woman" that he actually is a woman, because he is not and never will be.

He is a transwoman and if he wants to help with widening the bandwidth of what it means to be a man then great.

But he is not and never will be a woman. That word is already taken.

I'll ask again why is putting the needs of female children above the wishes of trans girls 'transphobic and incoherent'?

The reason I keep asking is because I want you to spell it out.

Because it smells an awful lot like misogyny to say that females should ignore our needs for males.

Tandora · 07/11/2023 16:00

Ereshkigalangcleg · 07/11/2023 15:54

The idea of an opposite sex gender identity is an ideology. Believing I should see males as women is an ideology.

Once again, trans people exist , it is not an “ideology”, it is a legitimate and real human experience, that has existing throughout time across all human cultures.

itsfinallytime · 07/11/2023 16:00

And Tandora, I have not berated you once.

Not once.

I have been polite but persistent.

Of course it is not offensive to be a transwoman. The PP does not say it is offensive to be a Transwoman. The PP says she finds it offensive for Transwomen to call themselves women.

It is inaccurate to call Transwomen Women. Transwomen are Transwomen - which is fine, until they insist on accessing the minority of spaces and circumstances where the difference is of material importance to women. E.g sport.

"you have followed me around, being exceptionally rude, personally attacking and insulting me on numerous threads."

Can I ask why you have resorted to making these accusations?

Rude. Sure.

Following you around? Errr... no. I posted on this thread at 11.15 and you posted on this thread at 11.53. I would hardly call that 'following you around' and that is a completely false claim.

Personally attacking you? How? Can you tell me how my asking for evidence that you have repeated that supports your claims is 'personally attacking' you? Whereas, I am happy to go back and start listing all your personal attacks on me. I mean, just here you have called me exceptionally rude and exceptionally entitled and following you around. I am happy to go back and find the others.

Insulting you? how? By asking you for your evidence across threads? By pointing out that you have abused a woman on this thread who disagrees with you? By mocking your attempts to shame me for swearing on fucking mumsnet? And for making unfounded accusations against boiled?

On numerous threads. Ok. Show that evidence. Let everyone see it.

But seriously, all this for asking you across threads to back up the claims you are making when your posts seem to be only ever based in misinformation? Please stop with the accusations towards me and other posters.

ReadtheReviews · 07/11/2023 16:06

Hang on- gay pride flag is about celebrating homosexualities and therefore not a thing prepubescent children should be marketed any more than heterosexuality. And aside from the trans flag being fuck all to do with sexuality so it shouldn't be piggy-backing on gay pride, it's an ideology so not something that should be marketed to children anyway.

Really? Again? Now?

Yes, the last thread I was on you bullied me off. I had several posters private message me to say that, whilst they might not agree with all of my opinions, they thought it was disgusting how I was treated and they’d made a complaint. you were a key ringleader in that.

On this thread you have done little but berate, mock , accuse, attempt to discredit , and attack me personally.

Once again, I would prefer to debate the actual subject matter.

No im not going to share my thesis here, or spend my time digging out particular articles . I’ve made the latter mistake before and it went nowhere helpful.

Ereshkigalangcleg · 07/11/2023 16:10

Yes, thinking you are more like the opposite sex is a human experience that has existed across space and time. So is religion. People who think they have a personal dialogue with a creator god have existed throughout time across all human cultures.

Great. Thank you for clarifying to readers that you have no evidence to support your claims.

It’s really upsetting that you equate being trans to having a particular religious belief 😢. And just so so wrong and misunderstood.

I'd rather be rude than a fucking liar

I've always taken MB's words in a "be true to yourself and your beliefs" way. So much of trans ideology depends on compelled speech and thought - TWAW being the ultimate, illogical example; compelled through social opprobrium and appeals to be kind, in a world where girls are taught that being unkind (even to your own detriment) is the worst thing you can be. Pronouns are indeed rohypnol, being told you must use someone's batshit way of referring to themselves out of respect, kindness or contempt of court when you do not believe what you are actually saying, and the evidence in front of your eyes is plain, does indeed turn you into a liar. I'll keep my self respect and be considered rude.

Anyone who says it's just a cat and a rainbow might not have noticed the little chevron of the trans flag that appears in front of the cat. I didn't see it at first, just looks like a cat and a rainbow. But it is clearly there, and that is the problem.

If someone snuck a scheastixker onto a children's sticker as part of a pretty flower design, but if once you'd been told about it you could see it was very clearly an obvious symbol, then no one would say this is ok, despite the fact little kids wouldn't understand it or associate it with anything.

It's subtly is part of what makes it an issue. This is exactly how you influence, it's marketing 101.

Ereshkigalangcleg · 07/11/2023 16:14

Are you anti religion? That doesn't sound very inclusive. But I do see it as a religious belief, and I am an atheist.

Would you find it offensive to compare being gay to a religious belief? If someone pointed out how that could be offensive would you ask them if they are “anti religion”?

This is what I believe was the intention of her words, yes.

Boiledbeetle · 07/11/2023 16:16

@Helleofabore bullied someone off a thread? I've heard it all now! Since when is asking someone to provide evidence to back up their side of an argument bullying?

"berate, mock , accuse, attempt to discredit , and attack"

And is she had been doing these things to a poster she would have been banned.
