FB is locked down privacy wise and is only family and “real”friends
Insta is other interests

My rule for Facebook friends is "Would I want you at my funeral?". If the answer is no then I certainly ain't wasting time having you as a 'friend' while I'm alive.

Every now and again I have a cull to get rid of the dead wood. I'm probably at about 300 friends. I feel that's still a lot, but I've lived in 5 different cities, I'm involved in lots of different groups, clubs and charities so I've collected a lot of people over the years.

Zero. I'm very much a tech nerd, I just decided it's not for me anymore. I use a few messaging tools and I'm in quite a few group chats, but they're all for staying in touch with people I see on a fairly regular basis and arrange to do things with. Make of it what you will, but pls don't take it as some sort of holier than thou judgement on people who do things differently. I'm just doing what works for me

Non. But I see Facebook as an alternative to bbc local news / video library and not a way of keeping in touch with people. For the latter WhatsApp/text or email suffice, if I don’t see them f2f.

I don't do FB but DH does. I find it quite spooky that even though someone has died he still gets a reminder from FB to send a birthday greeting. It's even weirder that people actually send one!

34,000 on Instagram (relates to my profession) and 150 or so on my personal Facebook.
