AIBU to think it's better when 5th Nov. falls on a Fri./Sat./Sun. so that the dickhead pet terrifying firework displays happen only over one weekend rather than two as tends to happen when 5th Nov. is mid-week?

@MidnightMeltdown well the people where I live must have missed the memo. There were loads of fab firework garden parties and public displays sold out! Everybody enjoying the celebrations dating back to something like 1606.

Hopefully the government won’t shut it all down because a bunch of moaning, miserable people want to ruin it for everybody because their pets and kids can’t cope with the noise 🤷‍♀️

Cancel culture is where it’s at right now in this country though.

Even ignoring the animals - I assume you also don't care about the PTSD sufferers triggered by sudden, unpredictable, loud noises. Figures for that suggest 1 in 25 people suffer - so on your street, theres likely someone terrified at everyfirework. Are they stupid too

1 in 25 have PTSD triggered by the sound of fireworks? Almost 3m people. Can you link to this finding please?

Oh, and no I don’t really care if your dog is scared for a few nights. I really don’t. Maybe it’s a fault in my genes

That’s nice, I too get joy from torturing animals. Maybe we should form a club?
