Tesco delivery man blasting music

I just had my Tesco shopping delivered and the delivery man was blasting music so loud! I could hear it from inside my house whilst I waited for him to knock.

Not massively bothered but seemed odd that they would have it blasting while unloading the van at this time and my young DS has just gone to bed, his bedroom window is at the front directly above.

AIBU or is it a bit unprofessional really?

His job is to deliver the shopping. If he's done that.. I can't get worked up about that too much.

Our DPD driver constantly plays Polish death metal at high volume on his route. I think it's nice that he's got a bit of personality.
His choice in music doesn't affect your shopping. YABU!

This is about as trivial as it gets.

If some music from a van outside disturbs your sons sleep you must tiptoe about your house after he goes to bed, scared to breath

I wouldn’t be bothered! One of mine has his music on quite loud (I do have afternoon deliveries though).

It was not after 11pm. If you want the world to be silent before this time, then that is on you to work out.

I bet the driver listening to his choice of music gets him through his working day.

I personally think it's unprofessional. It's a bit like a doctor walking to the waiting room listening to a podcast isn't it? Yes the actual job is seeing the patient, like delivering the shopping...

On the tail end of a long shift its probably helping him keep going /stay awake. It's a very hard job.

I’m afraid it’s probably something we have to live with. I experienced similar with an Amazon Prime delivery guy last week. (Not for my house.)
I was just at the point of stepping outside to complain when he thankfully drove off.
It’s inconsiderate and selfish behaviour but a sign of the wretched and disturbing times we live in.

It's not like I'm going to complain to Tesco and he's going to lose his job. Just saying there's no need at this time, you can have music on without everybody else needing to hear it

Bloody hell. Talk about petty. Whatever gets the driver through his day. Maybe it keeps him awake! It’s a tough job

Is it any wonder that people don't want to work in customer facing jobs when the people they serve are as petty as this?
