Hand hold please

Hi I had some routine blood tests done at my GP this morning I was told to expect results on Friday (it's Tuesday). At 5pm I had a call from an unknown number. my GP said my results were abnormal and would refer me to a Haematologist. The Haematologist called me about the results and told me to come in ASAP.

They think I have blood cancer and have started me off on Hydrocycarbamide and antibiotics.

This is a real shock I thought I might have anaemia as I have been really fatigued for the past month with no strength in my arms or legs.

Could really use a handhold tobet me thorough the night. Hopefully a diagnosis tomorrow but specialist looked really concerned...

Hi there this is my first of 10 treatment days, 3 different chemo types over 12 hours..

Now off to sleep.rinse repeat tomorrow

I've only got 4 days of intense chemo to go through now. Then I get an observational break of 2 weeks to see how the treatment has worked and to determine next steps.

I don't have any nausea or pain and feel so much better now compared to when I got here 15:days ago.

Will update when have more info. Thanks for your support it means a lot!

Update: I'm still in the Hospital (just over 5 weeks now). Waiting for my immune system to return from zero after the chemo to a level where I can go home. They reckon possibly next week....

Wow Janice! That is quite the thing! How are you coping in hospital? I get seriously strange if I’m ever more than overnight on a ward so total respect to you! Hoping that you get home soon.
