Hi I had some routine blood tests done at my GP this morning I was told to expect results on Friday (it's Tuesday). At 5pm I had a call from an unknown number. my GP said my results were abnormal and would refer me to a Haematologist. The Haematologist called me about the results and told me to come in ASAP.

They think I have blood cancer and have started me off on Hydrocycarbamide and antibiotics.

This is a real shock I thought I might have anaemia as I have been really fatigued for the past month with no strength in my arms or legs.

Could really use a handhold tobet me thorough the night. Hopefully a diagnosis tomorrow but specialist looked really concerned...

I’ve been in the Hospital for 4 nights now. They confirmed it is what they thought acute myeloid leukaemia.after taking ng a sample of my bone marrow. Had my first blood transfusion this morning. Later on had a pic-line installed to pump anti biotics in and remove nasties from my blood. I am so exhausted but so glad I am in the right place.

without this treatment I would be dead in 3 Weeks. Very sobering and so glad the NHS responded so fast. It looIs like I will stay in hospital for 5 weeks and then another 4-5 months off work.
