I have also twice, when awake, felt the weight and pressure of "something" or "someone" on me. The first time I was sitting in bed reading something on my tablet, as I usually do at night. I felt what seemed like either an animal walking over my feet, or a person "dancing" their hands on them iyswim. Something like that.
Anyway, I thought it must be our dog, but then looked to my side, and he was fast asleep on his bed, nearby, not on our bed at all.
The other time I was on holiday, again, sitting up in bed, reading. We were staying in a static caravan, so no building with any history or anything like that. I distinctly felt, to my right, on i.e. not next to DH, who was to my left, the weight and sensation as if someone had sat down on the edge of the bed and was leaning into me, on my side and right hip. It lasted a few seconds, I definitely felt it, but there was nothing there.
Back home I was once (alone) in one our DC's bedrooms, clearing something up. There was one of those over door hanging rails, with multiple hooks, on the inside of the door, which at the time held various costumes, karate suit etc. So it would have been fair fairly weighty.
Anyway, it suddenly started to shake from side to side, for several seconds. I looked at it, puzzled, took a step forward, the shaking stopped, for one second, then began again, but just for another second or two, then stopped completely.
At first I wondered if we'd had a tremor, but nobody came out of the other rooms to remark on anything (adult DC2 was in the room opposite), DH downstairs, DC3 in the bathroom. Also, I hadn't actually felt any movement underfoot. To be absolutely sure, I later checked for tremors in the area at the time, as there's a site that keeps up to date records. Nothing. Plus we don't live close to a road that carries HGVs; in over 20 years living here I've never felt anything that could be put down to vibrations from heavy vehicle traffic, nor a train going by, we're just not close enough. And like I say, I felt nothing, just saw all the costumes etc. shaking from side to side. Oh well, like I've said, I'm used to odd stuff like that by now!
