So I know there's someone out there trying to make a living and good for them. But i don't want Avon stuff. My choices are to

a leave it out on the step where it'll likely get wet
b keep it in the house but I'm unlikely to be here when they call back
c (and this is my preference) chuck it in the recycling with the rest of the unsolicited trash.

But why would you want to recruit more people if the money is in selling the goods? They would be your direct competition (particularly in an era when they can even sell online).

If it's a legit business the focus should be on selling goods -if so why recruit any competition at all? It's like someone owning a bakery and persuading their mate to set up a bakery next door. Totally illogical.

If it's a pyramid scheme then people recruit "down lines" to make money off them. So the "salespeople" are actually the customers.
