He has no backbone, no coherent policies (u-turns a dozen times a day)and no understanding of ordinary people's lives. Plus he wears all his clothes a size too small, which really irritates me.

Either @Lastchancechica is "tired and emotional" or had a flurry of posts in an attempt to fill the thread up to avoid answering any of the questions she's been asked.

And perhaps the exclamation mark key on whatever device she was using is stuck. 🤣

Crikeyalmighty · 04/10/2023 23:30

I have come to the conclusion that the batshit women are either

A fiendishly clever plant by labour OR Tory press people -

Surely no one can think that this issue is the only thing of importance-

Of course it's not the only thing of importance!

But as it directly impacts around 50% of the population (and 100% of one Sex) I'd say its really fundamental and actually crucial.

CheshireCat1 · 05/10/2023 00:11

I don’t vote for someone on the basis of like or dislike. As for Rishi Sunak, I’m kind of indifferent to him., he just makes me feel like this country is on a slow road to nowhere. I’ll vote for the party that I believe will attempt to make society a little fairer.

Lastchancechica · 04/10/2023 21:38

haha!!! Like Labour are going to improve the nhs!!!!

They did last time they were in power. You need to look at performance stats over the last 25 years. Very illuminating.

jgw1 · 05/10/2023 06:42

ChazsBrilliantAttitude · 04/10/2023 22:22

You need to be a bit more specific than that. Who proposed this as a policy? How is it supposed to work given that sex is a protected characteristic in the Equality Act 2010?
You can’t keep badgering people about whether or not they agree with an unevidenced statement that would be a breach of current legislation and which would never get through parliament.

I could stand in a fringe meeting at any party conference and state the view that anyone called Keith should be exiled to a small island but it’s not actually a party policy is it.

Why does it matter who said it, it is quite easy to condemn a proposal that would see girls recieving less education in order to have more babies?

Do you condemn such a policy or not?

How about this issue, is it of similar importance?
Do you agree with Jenrick and the NatCs who want to educate girls less so they have more babies?

There is no policy to condemn because it isn’t a policy. You have set up a false premise and are asking people to respond as if it is true. Stop game playing - it’s an insult to the intelligence and education of all the women on this thread irrespective of their political views.

Where does it say girls should have less education? France has tax breaks to encourage larger families has this translated into few girls in education?

Did you feel the same when Sunak announced last week he was scrapping policies that no one has proposed?

ChazsBrilliantAttitude · 05/10/2023 07:29

Ohh you do like unevidenced broad questions don’t you. Nobody is going to bite. You are trying to play politics but nobody is interested in your approach. By all means challenge actual policies, disagree with Government actions but just chucking random unsupported questions at people in an accusatory fashion isn’t debate.

I quite agree, what an accurate description of those who say that Labour don't know what a woman is, but the Tories do.

There are many educated posters on this thread, so I am sure I am not alone in knowing that such a proposal has been made. A Tory MP in the Spring indeed proposed that girls should have less education so they could stay home and make babies. And that suggestion when put to the Downing Street spokesperson was not condemned.

Stay-at-home motherhood being undermined, says senior Tory MP

Exclusive: George Eustice criticises push to get parents back to work, saying women’s ‘natural nurturing role’ should be valued

That wasn't even the example I was thinking of.

It does puzzle me how some of these posters that have just popped up, have no knowledge of the values the Tory party was espousing 6 months ago, but are adamant in there support for said party.

Passepartoute · 05/10/2023 07:52

Strawberry06 · 04/10/2023 15:22

Me and my husband met him last year in Richmond and he is a tiny and so incredibly posh! I felt like a right commoner speaking to him and I'm not working class!

However I don't mind the guy. He's got billions and billions. He doesn't need to be doing what he's doing he could easily be out of the limelight enjoying his billions. I believe he does want to try and do the right thing by the country.

That being said, I think it comes with the territory of being a politician - you just can't trust any of them!

I always vote tory because I don't agree with socialism but I do think Labour will get in at the next election and it will be a disaster!

Have you ever noticed that voting Tory last time round resulted in a disaster?

How can women be represented and protected by law if we are not even recognised?

Ask the PM. It's under Tory they've allowed males who say they are woman into woman single sex spaces in hospitals to rape them.

itsgettingweird · 05/10/2023 08:02

Lastchancechica · 04/10/2023 21:27

I couldn’t give a rats shit about anything else. The parties are pretty much all the same on every other issue, finances etc but to not recognise my girls, that IS a dealbreaker for me.

Whereas I think all the parties are as shit as each other on woman's rights and right now Labour are going to be better on education and health and public services.

And I've voted Tory in the past. 2019 in fact.

itsgettingweird · 05/10/2023 08:04

Lastchancechica · 04/10/2023 21:35

Labour will undo all of the safe space laws. They will allow men to invade our spaces on the woke labour agenda they have promised, and they are hell bent on shafting women.

NO we won’t give our identities and vaginas to Labour! Fuck no.

These posters always give it away they are on a wind up eventually! 🤣🤣🤣

itsgettingweird · 05/10/2023 08:07

It’s you who is failing to understand the nuance. Both parties got this wrong but the Tories have rowed back far more effectively and Labour has been too slow and out of touch. Women don’t trust Labour to protect the definition of woman and if that goes then all the sex based protections are at risk.

I think the misjudgement is "WOMAN just trust Labour...".

My experience in RL is different. I work in education and have family in the nhs. They are all female. They would prefer a Labour government because they are seeing what's happened to these sectors.

Most - like me - don't think anyone excels themselves on woman's rights. It's a huge issue but one I'd rather fight with better services and public funding.

You must have a short memory if you've forgotten all Blair/Browns mistakes and disasters!

And yet somehow they managed not to get fined for breaking the law, not to have five Prime Ministers within 6 years, not to have 57 Ministers resigning rather than continue serving with them, and not to crash the economy. And we all know that that is just scraping the surface of Conservative disasters.

Passepartoute · 05/10/2023 08:23

Badbadbunny · 04/10/2023 17:21

Did you factor in all the tens of billions of PFI liabilities for the shiny new hospitals and schools with atriums etc??

Or Brown constantly lengthening the "economic cycle" because the deficit kept growing even in the economic boom?

Or Blair's illegal war in Iraq?

Brown trying to pretend that nurses' wages were an "investment" rather than an expense, or calling benefits "tax credit" to try to fool the IMF that our benefits were lower than they really were?

Or Brown's yo-yo tax rates, i.e. 0% and 10% for limited companies that he withdrawn a couple of years after introduction, or the 10% basic rate tax he scrapped a few years after bringing it in?

Is there any chance of you telling us what it is about the Conservatives' record in government over the last few years that makes you think they are electable?

Passepartoute · 05/10/2023 08:29

Lastchancechica · 04/10/2023 18:07

I loved his recognition of women!!! At last someone is prepared to stand up to trans ideology.

Edited

So what exactly have he and his colleagues done about that in practical terms over the last 13+ years? And what else have they done to support women's rights?

DuncinToffee · 05/10/2023 08:30

Sunak announced he is cancelling HS2, abolishing A and T levels and banning smoking.

He has not announced anything about protecting women.
