I cannot believe there are so many groups of twisted individuals watching animal torture porn. Adam Britton raped and killed dogs and sent the videos to his followers. AIBU to think the follows should also be tracked down and face jail time? https://www.dailymail.co.uk/news/article-12564975/Dog-rapist-Adam-Britton-lies-pet-owner.html

Read the twisted lies dog rapist Adam Britton sent to innocent owner

Adam Britton, 52, obtained about 42 dogs between 2020 and 2022 by trawling through ads on Gumtree Australia looking for people in the Darwin area who were looking to rehome their pets.

ActuallyYes · 27/09/2023 21:45

Put a fucking warning in your title

littlripper · 27/09/2023 21:46

This was also reported, back in June: https://www.bbc.co.uk/news/world-65951188
It's terrifying to think that people who watch this pay for more and more horrific torture.

The monkey torture community began life on YouTube, before moving to encrypted messaging apps

@ActuallyYes thanks for that, sorry I wasn't thinking.

Put a fucking warning in your title

A thread title that says "utterly horrified" is sufficient warning. Anything using those words is likely to be something grim.

ThisIsokaay · 27/09/2023 21:51

It’s horrendous and disgusting but thank goodness they caught him as with everything that was discovered his next victim could have been a person

I agree I should have added a warning, I wasn't thinking, I was just really angry

I'd advise caution before reading these. I haven't been able to get those poor monkeys out of my head since the article was first posted.

It's a relief that they caught him, but we need to catch the other viewers. These sick people should be imprisoned and put on a register

Time40 · 27/09/2023 22:05

@littlripper I was disagreeing that you needed any more warning, OP. I think you said enough to make it clear it was going to be something disturbing.

melisma · 27/09/2023 22:27

Jesus Christ, what have I just read. That's utterly horrific.

lozrox90 · 27/09/2023 22:34

I came across a description of the '1 b*tch 9 pups' video this evening and had to stop reading. Perhaps the worst thing I have ever read. The man is utter evil.

People come on here and say, ‘AIBU to be utterly horrified’ and it’s a massive spider. Nothing about the title implied it’d be about bloody animal abuse. MN have amended it now anyway

Gothambutnotahamster · 28/09/2023 00:10

I almost vomited when I read it - some people are utterly utterly despicable.

ButWhatAboutTheBees · 28/09/2023 00:14

Anyone who paid money for these animals to be tortured should be in as much trouble as the person carrying the sick acts out. They are as liable since they encouraged and paid for it.

clopper · 28/09/2023 01:03

Yes they should be followed up and prosecuted. I would like these people publicly shamed, imprisoned and fined. No doubt it’s a global thing. This is what I hate about the internet. It’s bought so much good to the world, but then also a way for depravity to be distributed far and wide…..

Ponoka7 · 28/09/2023 01:08

They don't in prison the people, usually men who buy child abuse images, as much as this is horrific, it wouldn't be right for a greater punishment for animal abuse over child abuse. Re monkeys I had to close my mind off during Covid to what I knew would be happening to them and no, we didn't need most of the very painful monkey experiments. Not do we need the animal experiments that are taking place every day in the UK.

clopper · 28/09/2023 01:24

I would imprison those who watch/ share pictures of child abuse also.
I think this individual has also tortured and killed the animals as well as sexually abuse them, from what I understand. I can’t actually bring myself to find out the full details of what he did as I know it will haunt me for years.

I feel so sorry for police and eventually juries that have to see these sorts of things.

Same. Not much affects me but.. that was fucking awful and I wouldn't care if he was given a death penalty

Dustyblue · 28/09/2023 05:20

Beyond hideous.

For the Australians, this monster was on an episode of The Cook & The Chef many years ago. Simon went up there to talk about crocodiles. SBS Food actually played the episode the other night, I was in shock! They should be deleting it from their archives instead!

I love that show but had to switch off, I can't look at that creature.

Turquioseblue · 12/12/2023 12:14

Just for an update if people are interested and still following this thread, do watch the videos on utube posted by:

The Monkey Sentinel
Mad Monkey Mayhem
Yardfish
Lady Freethinker

These people are fighting to stop the animal abuse on utube and it really is worth watching the videos for the information they give about the connection between animal abuse and the abuse of children. They're not for the faint-hearted but honestly I think everyone should be informed about it all.

Dustyblue · 13/12/2023 15:12

Thank you for the update. But I don't think I can watch. Some images can't be erased from the mind & I've heard enough about this putrid excuse for a person.

I do take your point & actually agree... but I cannot watch.

pickledandpuzzled · 13/12/2023 15:17

Anyone as sadistic as to watch or perpetrate that kind of abuse is unsafe to be out and about.
They lack something.

Bizarrely I find it almost more shocking than child abuse. There are usually background factors in child abuse- poverty, compulsion, circumstance. Not excusing it in anyway. This kind of thing is utterly gratuitous- purely enjoyment and deliberately engaged with and sought out.

Dustyblue · 13/12/2023 15:33

Imagine being his wife. She's an academic/researcher with a strong career.

She filed for divorce and fled the country. As you would!

I feel for everyone who had to view the evidence, in order to have him arrested. Hopefully there won't be a jury trial.

Laiste · 13/12/2023 15:42

Just out of interest - i wonder how many here would support the death penalty for this vile human?

Dustyblue · 13/12/2023 15:50

Different topic! But I don't support the death penalty in any case. Mainly because it doesn't act as a deterrent, doesn't solve anything other than a desire for vengeance & sometimes we get it wrong- that is, we could kill innocent people.

Waaay off track though!
