I cannot believe there are so many groups of twisted individuals watching animal torture porn. Adam Britton raped and killed dogs and sent the videos to his followers. Have been looking to see if he's been sentenced yet and I can't find anything. He's in prison, but was supposed to have a sentencing hearing in Dec.

Prison for life would be ok with me.

The article says Britton was due to be sentenced today: 13/12/23.

Does anyone know if this has happened today?

Well aware it was a bit off track.

It's just that animal cruelty (rightly) brings up huge upset in people and no one ever comes up with any possible mitigating circs (again rightly) so i wondered if anyone's knee jerk reaction for or against the death penalty is different in cases like this.

When I think with my head, I am against the death penalty for a few reasons.

When I read the article linked above, my gut reaction is to think 'hand me the shotgun, I'll do it myself'.

But the real question is: should justice be determined by our gut reaction, or by logical reason?

(Not being goady, sometimes I am not so sure of the answer to that!)

Both the dogs and the monkeys are deeply distressing examples of the utter depravity some people are capable of. I don't doubt the world would be better off without them.
