What is this new hell?! I've tried everything to rid myself of the black squares on my thighs - baby oil, everything, I end up scrubbing until I'm raw! There must be a solution that I'm missing?! My thighs look like a chequerboard!!!

ooh - and I peel one side of the patch first, stick that side down, and then pull the other side’s backing off as I stick it down. So i never touch the sticky side of the patch at all. I’ve never had any issues with them coming unstuck. And I exercise and get sweaty and swim a lot!

Baby oil-Rub it all over the patch, then let it sink in whilst you clean your teeth. Rub it with a cotton wool pad and then get it in shower-all gone.

This is exactly what I do - even the cleaning my teeth but 😂

Baby oil does work but you need to put plenty on and massage it into the glue residue really well, in little circles. Then put more baby oil on a cotton wool pad and wipe the residue off.

This is what I used to do and it does work but even quicker is to use loo roll instead of cotton wool (which I had run out of). The glue came away much easier, I was very surprised !

I use the patch that I am discarding to remove the black grubby stuff. The glue sticks to the glue IYSWIM? Rub it off that way.

Absolutely this.
Pull the skin taut if it’s still stubborn.

The spray (Lenzetto) is brilliant - none of the faff of spreading gel, takes less than a minute to dry and no marks left behind.

mrsbyers · 25/09/2023 22:44

You can get medical adhesive remover , coloplast brava do it , I use it for stoma bag and associated sticky products

AnnaMagnani · 25/09/2023 22:45

I use @Weddingpuzzle 's method of using the old patch to get the glue off.

It's not perfect but far far better than anything else.

My arse is covered in it now. I've given up trying to get rid of it. I just have to try and find a bare'ish spot for each new patch. My arse looks like the final discount section at the backend of Asda.

Mayonnaise works according to the tv.

I'd try it but I'm happily single so I can't be bothered.

🤣🤣🤣🤣

I must have the skin of a rhino, as the black mark just peels off easily.
I'm quite in awe of those who can stick them on their thighs though, my trousers/jeans would just rub them off. Conversely I can't get on with gel at all, it takes forever to dry and when I shower the skin that I've gelled feels slimy.

redastherose · 25/09/2023 22:50

Avon skin so soft! Squirt on your skin before a shower and then tip he glue just washes off with a sponge or scrubby and some soap.

Switch to tablets. Swig of water, gone.

Many people can't use tablets. They are not as safe as transdermal which will always be recommended first. Also the progesterone usually isn't body identical.

I just wish the fuckers would stay stuck!

I do all the things you’re supposed to but a few hot flushes or a sweaty night and they are off.

Whereabouts are you sticking them?

KneeQuestion · 25/09/2023 23:08

Best results are on the front of my thigh. Have tried on my bum too.
