i know people will say its none of my business but i will be watching him when she goes back to work and i really cant imagine myself shouting this name out around tesco's.

is there ever a right time to tell someone the name they have chosen is terrible or is it always best to not say a thing.

i can see his whole life being spoilt by this name (yes it is that bad)

I reckon it must be Humphrey.......

It's the only reasonably common name that's been mentioned that I could think could cause offence......

I wouldn't call my DS that name, but if your sister likes it, then sorry, that's her choice.

I think this is one time you have to keep your opinions to yourself... if she'd wanted your advice, I guess she'd have asked before she named him!

Beauregard · 03/03/2008 21:36

nowt wrong with Henry

NoBiggy · 03/03/2008 21:36

Henry?

WTF is wrong with that?

weebleswobble · 03/03/2008 21:37

To be honest, I prefered Haardvark, but if it has to be Henry, it's their lookout.

BarcodeZebra · 03/03/2008 21:37

Holy Father?

At least he'd get a bit of respect from the pigs if he ever got arrested.

"What's your name son?"

"Holy Father Blenkinsop"

"Sorry your holiness, on your way now."

is that because of the horrid Henry books or because you knew someone called Henry that you didnt like

QuintessentialShadow · 03/03/2008 21:37

Well done, you finally managed to spill it.

Just get over it.

soopermum1 · 03/03/2008 21:37

och, it's not that bad, c'mon....

not massively fond of it myself, not as good as 'horatio' in my opinion

Habbibu · 03/03/2008 21:37

Och, Henry's fine - you'll get used to it. Didn't like my niece's name at first, but it's just her now - don't give it a second thought.

SlartyBartFast · 03/03/2008 21:37

aaah,
i bet he will suit the name in time.
