Friends vaping leaving me out

When I go out with some friends (they all vape and I don't) I often get left when they go outside all together to vape, usually at the end of a meal. I completely understand it's their choice and I am not asking them to stop at all, but would I be unreasonable to ask one of them to stay with me? I suffer from anxiety and hate being left at a table on my own in a busy place. I know I shouldn't care, but the dread of being left on my own makes me not want to even go out with them. My other half vapes and would never leave me alone to go and do this. Sorry if I sound like a giant baby but I don't know if I should just get on with it or say something?

Go with them.
You are asking them to adapt their behaviour to suit you which is unreasonable.

Presumably they don't tie you to the table. Just go stand outside with them 🤷🏽‍♀️

As said. Go with them. My pals smoke or vape and I still go out with them. The smokers corner gets all the cool conversations.

All my friends are smokers. I'm always left sitting my myself or I go outside with them.

You can't ask one person to stay back as then when will they vape, if you have an issue waiting for the short period go outside with - simple x

It's awful for anxiety. My brother vapes like mad and when he accidentally loses it or his disposable one runs out he gets all jittery and has to go to the shop.

YANBU, they're being rude. There are lots of smokers like that, so it's not surprising to find the same behaviour amongst vapers.

They're supposed to be meeting up with you, but they're ditching you (even if temporarily) to indulge either their hobby or their addiction.

The smokers' corner gets all the second hand smoke blown at you. You can do what you want, but it's not surprising that others don't want to have to breathe in the smoke directly or have it blow on them.

Just ask if they can go in shifts so you're not sat alone.
Not many of my friends smoke any more but in situations like this 2 or 3 would go then the other half, so I'm not left alone for any time. They might not have even considered it - I know I didn't when I smoked.

Yeah, I packed in the smokes a long time ago but I'm like the bisto kid around cigs. Like the smell, just don't like smoking.

I was in the exact situation as you with a group of friends ( 2 of them have since quit smoking).

I used to either go out with them or I'd go to the toilet or get a drink and they were always conscious not to be too long.

Don’t try vaping. That’s awful advice.

Do go with them though and just carry on the chat.

If anyone questions it, say “l’m not sitting in my own like a lemon” and leave it at that. Or something equally blunt.

Thanks for the suggestion but I am not and have never smoked. My health isn't the best, so it would be just my luck if I smoked I would be the one to get an awful disease! No disrespect to anyone that does smoke or vape though, it's just not for me. But thanks for the suggestion x

Haha yes this!! People do suck on them like dummies. Mind you if they invent a chocolate orange flavoured one I may be tempted to join them! 😂
