Friends vaping leaving me out

When I go out with some friends (they all vape and I don't) I often get left when they go outside all together to vape, usually at the end of a meal. I completely understand it's their choice and I am not asking them to stop at all, but would I be unreasonable to ask one of them to stay with me? I suffer from anxiety and hate being left at a table on my own in a busy place. I know I shouldn't care, but the dread of being left on my own makes me not want to even go out with them. My other half vapes and would never leave me alone to go and do this. Sorry if I sound like a giant baby but I don't know if I should just get on with it or say something?

They're very rude. When I go out with people and one doesn't smoke we take it in turns to go out so they're not left alone.

Isn’t there a danger the group will lose the table if they all go outside. I think OPs friends are quite rude.

Just ask if they can go in shifts instead of abandoning you all at once?

If they can't do that then they aren't particularly good friends (or very nice people!).

Maybe people would be less likely to take up smoking / vaping if the things did look more like dummies.

Btw - there are several chocolate orange vape juices. Just, FYI. :)

Vaping seems to have absolutely exploded, of late. I seem to be forever walking through puffy clouds of weird stenches.

I truly hope all of the fears re popcorn lung etc are vastly exaggerated, especially as you see so many youngsters doing it.

It's a bit unreasonable to expect someone to stay with a grown adult in a restaurant though, OP. I agree that you should just go outside with them.

This is what happened when they first banned smoking in pubs - smokers went outside, as required, but then non smokers came out because they were fed up on their own.

Join them, or sit alone. 🙂
