Mean Girls, Titanic, Ghost, Notting Hill…

Loved watching them all again. I’m not saying it was quality.

Lots and lots but an absolute standout that I watched with my DD the other night who had never seen it is Shawshank Redemption.

PollyannaWhittier · 09/09/2023 18:35

Calamity Jane
Seven Brides
My Fair Lady
The Sound of Music
Fiddler on the Roof
Funny Face
High Society
Lots of Disney films
White Christmas (every Christmas Eve !)

It seems the films I watch repeatedly are almost exclusively musicals 30+ years older than me Grin

FancyFran · 09/09/2023 18:40

I see your Calamity Jane and raise you a seven brides for seven brothers (mummy, Howard Keel).

Tinktravels · 09/09/2023 18:41

Now you see me! Love that film.
I've watched most movie musicals probably atleast 10 times

Philandbill · 09/09/2023 18:42

The Last of the Mohicans - the scene behind the waterfall gets me every time.
Gosford Park- superb multilayered film. Spot something new every time

FancyFran · 09/09/2023 18:43

Skyfall
Love Actually (my DD thinks it's sexist).
Pride and prejudice
The Wicked Lady (very rude).

Dumbo
Charlie and the Chocolate factory

HolliDays · 09/09/2023 18:45

Shawshank Redemption
The Green Mile

I have these on DVD but if they're ever on TV I have to watch them. Awesome masterpieces based on novels by the King.

FancyFran · 09/09/2023 18:46

Miracle on 34th street. The only time I regret declining my pupilage. I could have been that attorney.

SoftPillowAllNight · 09/09/2023 18:46

Elderflower14 · 09/09/2023 18:51

High Society, Bringing Up Baby, Green Book, Field Of Dreams... Loads more but can't remember!! 🤣

mycatsanutter · 09/09/2023 18:51

Just the Home Alone films as we watch them every Christmas. My DH however has watched Titanic no less than 16 times

FancyFran · 09/09/2023 18:51

@TotalOverhaul snap cup yes.
And St Trinians, the legand of Fritton's gold.
My DD named me Camilla after this. I told her head teacher she loved it, not amused.

the80sweregreat · 09/09/2023 18:51

Muriel's wedding !
Love this film so much

longwayoff · 09/09/2023 18:52

A Christmas Story. If you have kids, it's your family film. If you're a parent who was once a child you'll love it. It's very funny. An American channel shows it on repeat throughout Christmas Day. Watch out for the Bumpus Hounds.

ScribblingPixie · 09/09/2023 18:53

Last of the Mohicans - fascinating, thrilling, horrible and romantic!

TruffleShuffles · 09/09/2023 18:56

I’ve watched loads of films more than once but the ones I can watch over and over again are

Billy Elliot
The Goonies
Seven
The little mermaid
Wolf of Wall Street

CurlewKate · 09/09/2023 18:56

Sense and Sensibility. Lost track of the number of times I've watched it.

FancyFran · 09/09/2023 19:01

@CurlewKate love it. It's a real bad boy no good film.. As an aside my brother is a spit for Allan Rickman.
