Mean Girls, Titanic, Ghost, Notting Hill…

Loved watching them all again. I’m not saying it was quality.

OP posts:
SDTGisAnEvilWolefGenius · 09/09/2023 17:13

Titanic, Notting Hill, Four Weddings, Die Hard, all the Harry Potters, Murder on the Orient Express and Death on the Nile with Kenneth Branagh, The Queen, Men in Black, and the Star Trek movies, to name but a few.

I like the reassurance of watching something I’ve watched before. I do watch new films and TV series, and read new books, but when I’m tired or under the weather (happens a lot, due to long covid), I like the comfort of something I know.

The Fifth Element, and Strictly Ballroom. Both classics!

Fifth Element is my drunk film, I don't know why but it's the one I always picked to put on to watch while eating my kebab after a night out.

I'm older and wiser now and out it on a few weeks ago for the first time in years. Still a great film but it just made me want a kebab.

Impossible to answer as if I love a film I'll watch it over and over. Pretty Woman for example, I watch about 2-3 times a year! Dirty Dancing I've not seen for years but used to watch about once a week as a teenager.

The Highway Rat ( because DGS loves it)

FancyFran · 09/09/2023 18:27

My type of thread

First Wives Club (I was the drunk, just pure feminist success)
The wedding guest (Sarah Parish pissed and shaking her arse, so funny)
Four Weddings, (funeral blues, cry it out)
Beverly hills cop (Eddie Murphy before I didn't like him)
The pursuit of happyness ( not my spelling and if you think you have nothing, watch this).
The colour purple, ditto. Life can be shit.
All the Bridgets. So funny from the dodgy party to the funny attache in numbet two. I have used 'I would rather wipe Putins arse' . I am waiting to sing 'fuck you' on departing from work, perhaps when I retire?
Sense and Sensibility. My favourite book.
The Wererabit. I live in the country. I peed myself one Christmas assigning the characters. I had done a shift in the local village shop. Jesus help me.
Oliver, my late parents favourite. Oliver Reed as Bill Sykes. Evil but sexy eyes.
So many. I watch two films every week. It's my DD and BFF thing.

FancyFran · 09/09/2023 18:30
