Why do people not check and double check the original post before adding a scolding reply which makes them look really silly, when the answer is right FKING there? It almost makes so much sense why society fails so spectacularly when people are so confident in being loud and wrong.

Fyi i would expect mums net to be full of 20 somethings as I thought it was for parents to share similar experiences these womens kids would have been adults when mums net was created so how did they end up here??

Plenty of people in their 50s have kids still in secondary school - Mumsnet is never going to only be for 20 somethings. (And if it was, what will happen to you when you stop being a 20 something? Will you leave?)

I have dyslexia and learning difficulties so my spelling and grammar will always be shit no matter what.

When people have not understood my situation/post . They try and tell me what I mean. Then argue that I'm wrong about myself/situation 🤔

I have dyslexia too and people assume by my lack of spelling and grammar I am thick and not understood my own post but it is usually them that struggles with basic reading comprehension and completely miss the point. It's just so ironic.

The worst is when they are referring to you and you have know idea what the heck they mean. You have this moment of did I get my grammar and spelling that wrong or did they just enter the arena to "ruin" my day. 🤔

I haven't read the whole thread, obviously, because my brain is too delicate for that sort of thing, but here's what I've learned by vaguely squinting at it with one eye whilst the other eye is wandering about the room, thinking its own thoughts:

1. Old people are vile, and should be smooshed.
2. Murphry's Law is clearly the law that states that, if you try to explain Muphry's Law, it will inevitably and repeatedly be confused with Murphy's Law and the discussion will become A SHAMBLES.
