AIBU to think I've been scammed?

Husband and I have been talking about getting a small shed for the garden. Lo and behold, ads started appearing on my FB feed. There was one for a 6x4 plastic one for £40 including delivery. There were a couple of hundred comments all saying they'd received them and were happy, so I ordered one & paid for it. This was a few weeks ago.

Today I got a delivery. It was a gold coloured chain with a sun on it which opens up and inside it says "you are my sunshine".

I certainly haven't ordered it! Nothing on it to say where its from. Did an image search on it & saw a few results saying "ordered a shed got a necklace".

Please tell me I haven't been really daft/gullible! Have any of you lovely MNers received a £40 shed from FB??

Ahh so ypu can't even do it through PayPal then . What happens if you refuse delivery I wonder

You can get a refund if you’ve used PayPal. I got a ring delivered instead of the hula hoop I’d ordered (which honestly seemed like a weird scam as it wasn’t exactly an expensive thing 🤷‍♀️)

Put in the complaint with photos - the company responded with the tracking number and PayPal refunded me.

It's a scam. My friend ordered a Lego Millenium Falcon for £10.....and got a packet of face masks.
If it sounds too good to be true then it probably is

I ordered a load of stuff for 90 pc off from Cath Kudston store all looked legit. The cardcharge has come through from MARY and the tracking says it just left Singapore. Let's say I'm not hopeful!

This is very funny. I don’t understand why you would be sent a necklace though? Why wouldn’t they just send nothing at all? Can anyone explain?

love the idea of ‘you are my sunshine!’ from the scammers.

I would imagine that somewhere deep in the small print that no one ever reads it will say "when we say shed, we mean really naff necklace" or words to that effect.

I remember the family that booked their house removal with a random but cheap company on FB. The company turned up fine, loaded this family's entire life into their van fine, and drove off into the sunset never to be seen again.
And they'd paid them for the privilege!!
