Practical or pretentious?

AIBU to secretly hanker after a dressing room?

I don't much like getting dressed or undressed with my partner in the bedroom, so I would love to have a dressing room where I can disrobe in dignity. (I'm clumsy and rushing, and end up tangled in my knickers and lurching across the room).

What about a boot room, for chucking dirty footwear in and hosing down the dog?
A wine cellar?
A home gym?
A wine cellar?

Do you secretly hanker after any of these, or others? Are these things genuinely useful or merely pretentious status symbols?

Actually, what I really need is an indoor swimming pool. Does that count?

Why not?

Couldn’t live without a boot room, ours is one of the biggest rooms we have - love it!

You could. You really could. Most of us do.

100% dressing room would be my dream, I have about 3 times too many clothes than space.

Would like a proper music room, we are all musical and have piano, guitars, drum kits etc and would love space for a sound proofed room with all the studio equipment set up.

Definitely a pantry and a home gym. Boot room with space for sports bags etc.

I am not fussed about having a bigger house for any other reason, don't need big rooms particularly just those bits added on.

Ooh! Staff quarters, with actual staff to put in them.... a butler, at least, as i do hate butling myself...
