I haven't had much experience with temu but now I'm tempted

This can't be real can it?
OP posts:
Annaishere · 07/08/2023 16:36

I wouldn’t pay more than £10 anyway

Zonder · 07/08/2023 16:38

Only with qualifying orders. You probably have to spend £50 to qualify.

AutumnCrow · 07/08/2023 16:40

It’ll be fifty quid’s worth of chicken helmets and hamster jackets minimum.

Meeting · 07/08/2023 16:57

If you think you're going to get that for free then think again.

It's more likely that you need to spend money on cheap crap that's been produced by modern day slaves in order to qualify to receive it for 'free'.

topnoddy · 07/08/2023 17:02

And any order that place will not qualify !

parietal · 07/08/2023 17:04

it is a hideous plastic thing that will probably break after 1 week.
you'll have to order £50 worth of junk that you don't want
and you'll get on every possible mailing list for more junk.

ignore ignore ignore

EdgeOfACoin · 07/08/2023 17:05

Please look into Temu. It's products are 'highly likely' to have been made using slave labour according to a recent analysis.

Cucucucu · 07/08/2023 17:10

I have orded from TEMu 7 times only ever used the discount vouchers including a £30 and it has always worked . Things are actually like SHEIN or a bit better quality

FamBae · 07/08/2023 17:20

Looking at the prices like PP I also suspect they are similar to Shein, consequently I wouldn't touch them with a bargepole , however good the quality it doesn't excuse slave labour.

Yahyahs22 · 07/08/2023 17:22

I keep warning people off temu after someone I know had their bank details stolen and small bits that added up to 4 ish grand was taken out!! If it looks too good to be true, it probably is!

Flakey99 · 07/08/2023 17:34

If you want to shop at cheap places like Temu, Shein etc. carry on doing it but don’t then moan about the death of your local town/village and how local shops are too expensive/closing down.

Whatswhatwhichiswhich · 07/08/2023 17:42

YABU to even consider using Temu. It’s cheap knock off junk from china that falls apart within a week.

SalviaDivinorum · 07/08/2023 17:49

I try not to buy anything from companies that use slave labour so I wouldn't touch anything from Temu.

The whole company seems shady too with too much information hidden or not disclosed so I wouldn't trust them with my bank details either even if they had a transparent supply chain which they don't.

DrManhattan · 07/08/2023 17:54

@Cucucucu it's bad times when shein is better quality.
No idea what they do to their clothes but they have 'smells' on their return label.

I actually said they are better quality than SHEIN . I haven’t orded many clothes to be honest just a couple of toddler ones and they where literally the same ones I got on Amazon a few weeks before so produced by the same place for sure .
The other items were electronics and household stuff , party stuff etc

You can pay with Apple Pay so no need to disclose any info .

I wouldn't pay them with monopoly money let alone any real money!

I'm not up on the latest safety measures for children's toys but will it come with a kite mark or CE mark etc to show its been safety tested?

Whingebob · 07/08/2023 19:03

I keep getting ads from them on instagram. They look like another company south cheap products producing as much plastic tat that people don't need, as they can.

People seem to love this sort of thing for some reason

I cannot imagine it would!

Tempted why?

You do understand things have a cost. For you to have some crap you don't need, exploited workers suffer in unsafe conditions and the environment suffers.

OP is unreasonable to want to buy from a company you deem 'cheap?'

How strange of you to think your opinion holds such weight.
