I haven't had much experience with temu but now I'm tempted

Didn’t we have all the bad press with SHEIN and Ali express etc before ? TEMu is the same .
It’s the same stuff being sold on eBay and even Amazon most times as others are just buying them in bulk and sell them at much higher price next day delivery .
I haven’t tried many of the clothes but to be fair other companies selling under the U.K. are just as bad quality wise , bohoo is a great example , SHEIN stuff is the same quality as boboo .
By all means don’t buy if you don’t want too , but all the myths about being worse than anything else are just a lie , it’s just another SHEIN or LightInTheBox or Ali express .
One of the items I orded was a dash cam for the car , hubby orded the exact same one from Amazon , it arrived in the same box , same instructions , same manufacture for sure ( mine took 10 days to arrive his 2 days ) . His was £68 mine was £13 , mine even had an extra gift of SD card .
In the current climate people will need to make budget choices unfortunately.

Noooo cost of living in the UK aid not a reason to knowingly buy from a company that almost certainly has terrible labour practices and is horrendous for the environment

Cost of living = buy less + buy more secondhand

Cost of living /= not buy more cheap stuff from a Temu

I'm organising a party for some family and I've ordered several things from Temu - cake slices, bunting, table decs etc. Everything arrived on time and was better than I thought it would be.

I read the report about allegations of slave labour but then I also found the exact same stuff on Amazon (just double the price) so is Amazon selling products made with forced labour too?

If the allegations against Temu's suppliers are proven, I'll not be back but I'd equally want to know why Amazon is selling the same stuff.

Go to any charity shop and find something similar, that is the kind of hideous monstrosity every parent wants to get rid of , if I had it I’d pay you to take it away !

I don’t understand what is “tempting” though? The £10 offer is now at worth the RRP and you could get something similar / better for cheaper than you’d have to spend to qualify on Amazon or from Argos.
mot just look on Facebook marketplace for something similar?

temu uses slaves to make their cheap nasty shit. Nothing is safety tested, it doesn’t have to confirm to any of the regulations that a UK company has to conform to. Made using unsafe materials, designs ripped off real designers putting them out of business, they mine and sell your data who knows where. Their parent company app was removed from google and apple stores because of the malware it contained. Returns dumped straight into landfill.

it’s mainly about the slave labour though.
