He's so bloody gorgeous, talented and seems to nice that I just don't know where he gets off marrying someone else!

Sadly very little beans to spill from the Cillian Murphy perspective - I was very shy & nerdy at the start of my UCC days. Cillian was certainly in the cool set but otherwise normal.

Des Bishop - more to tell on him (is he well-known beyond Ireland, I never know) but definitely wouldn't put it on MN!

I still kind of think of 1996 version of Cillian Murphy when I see him in anything, I find it hard to see him as a heartthrob / super star!

He has a huge cult following on TikTok, Twitter etc of young women who make 'thirst edits' of him and call him 'baby girl'...knowing this would probably push him into early retirement.

Went to an event in the city last year and there was a 'celebrity' appearance so we all got a bit excited. It was Billy Murphy from the Young Offenders. Crowd were delighted though 😂.

The photo of Roy Keane is an old one, he has not aged well. And if you like prawn sandwiches, you would feel his wrath.

I'm a vegetarian so safe on the prawn sandwich front and I don't think Roy has aged too badly, I'd still let him come in for a hard tackle as long as he didn't break my leg or anything!

While we are on Cork footballers Denis Irwin anyone? He's pretty cute too!

I love it too, the scene when you see he never learned to tie his laces really got to me. Despite the vile language it is the only show I can think of where teenage boys treat girls with some respect and don't just talk about trying to shag them. Also it's absolutely hilarious!!

I've been on the Cillian train since 2002 when 28 days later came out. Christopher Eccleston was also in it and he can join the train too along with Richard Armitage and Jensen Ackles. This thread is a veritable feast for the eyes!

Loads of the cast of the Young Offenders do the panto in The Everyman. Ciaran Bermingham was also in Game of Thrones. He got the full on goslings one year when Vanessa Feltz was in the audience.

I was walking by Cillian's house with my daughter one day, pointing out that was where he lived, when the front door opened and he came down the steps with someone. As they walked past us, we studiously ignored him (as all proper Irish people react to celebrities - wouldn't want them to get above themselves or anything!), but my daughter whispered under her breath "I love you"!!! 😂

Cumberbatch just looks unfinished to me.

Isnt it great how in Cork and the rest of Ireland celebrities always have a cousin in the supermarket or an auntie down the street!

I think that might be true, I'll give it a few years for his kids to get up and then do doubt he'll come looking for me.
