To ask whether you would recommend Teva sandals?

I’ve been burned with a crappy pair of Chinese sandals I bought via Facebook (ad all lies including saying they were shipped from the uk).

Looking around for something better and I came across Teva. Do you have Teva sandals? Are they comfortable with good arch support?

Mine are very, very comfortable, but the sole started flapping open much quicker than I was expecting, for how much I paid. Didn't look very nice after one summer, though I did wear them regularly for that one year (and stupidly did buy white ones)

Raindropbattle · 17/07/2023 15:14

I have some and they are nice but my skechers sandals are the ones I keep going back to for walking comfort.

Icannoteven · 17/07/2023 15:14

One hundred percent. They aren’t the prettiest sandals but I bought some around 5 years ago and have worn them in so many dog walks and boat trips. Even riding my bike a couple of times. They are extremely comfortable, give good support (I have week arches and hyper mobile toes) and they blooming last!

onefinemess · 17/07/2023 15:16

They're brilliant, and they're designed to get wet.

Sleepyteach · 17/07/2023 15:19

I have a pair of the flat forms and I have walked about 5 miles a day in them whilst on holiday. It did put quite a lot of wear on the toes though and I’ve had to superglue them back down.

midgetastic · 17/07/2023 15:23

Had mine for 5 to 10 years
Wear them loads
Walk loads
Love them

RosJ · 17/07/2023 15:37

The ones with the thinnest soles are very long lasting, but I'm not sure about the arch support. The ones with thicker soles: I have had 3 pairs and all of them have needed the sole glued back together at the toe end within a year.

CheersToMe · 17/07/2023 15:49

Try them before you buy. I ordered online for the whole family based on recommendations and not one of us found them wearable. The triangular plastic piece holding the straps together dug in, so uncomfortable.

Roselilly36 · 17/07/2023 17:32

I have a couple of pairs of the Skechers version, awesome, so comfortable.

Squidthing · 17/07/2023 17:35

Not for me but I do have a bit of a bunion on my big toe. My husband had some which he liked last year.

SwedishEdith · 17/07/2023 17:37

I've had mine 5 years and they're still completely reliable for comfort. I think mine are actually men's as they start at size 6. I have very high arches and need arch support and the Hurricane sole gives that. Mine have two straps across and last time I looked I couldn't see them any more 😞.

I have a pair of Teva Kayenta that I bought 7 years ago - thin soled. They've been super comfortable, worn walking and in water. Not completely flat like a flip flop, there's some shape to the insole area. Love them

I have three pairs of these in different colours. The oldest pair are around 7 years old I think. They are really comfy. The longest walk I’ve done in them was around 12 miles in Suffolk and I wore them all day every day in Disneyland Paris for 4 days in total comfort.

Thank you all. Much appreciated.

Looks like Teva don’t make the kayenta anymore.

bellocchild · 21/07/2023 21:42

Teva Tirra are splendid - good arch support, years of wear, and lots of colours.

Blueuggboots · 21/07/2023 21:52

I've had teva in the past and they were great. I've got keens at the moment - a fugly pair and a nice pair!!

StrictlyAFemaleFemale · 21/07/2023 21:55

I bought mine when I was 18. I'm now 42 and wear them every summer.

Plump82 · 21/07/2023 22:01

I absolutely love my Tevas. I have 3 pairs of Originals. One pair are metallic pink, purple and orange and can definitely be dressed up. I wouldn't be without them and can walk for miles in them.

WeightoftheWorld · 21/07/2023 23:07

Yes! Love them! Bought a pair last summer after recommendations on here and I don't think I will ever buy another type now! Bought myself another pair this year for work too.

AnathemaPulsifer · 23/07/2023 21:51

I’m wearing my new Teva sandals. Got them for £28 so pretty happy with that. They’re not pretty but they’re very comfortable so far!

NotMeNoNo · 23/07/2023 22:03

They are basically the best activity sandals you can buy for reasonable money. I'm on my 2nd pair of Tirra"s in 15 years, in fact would still have the first pair but wanted a different colour. Of course try first because everyones feet are different.

pornyshroudofturin · 23/07/2023 22:09

Bought a pair recently for a city holiday. Hated them- gave me awful blisters. And a random man on the street actually stopped me to point and laugh at them at the cos they were so ugly. My 16 year old nearly died of shame!
