To stop eating strawberries

I used to love eating a whole juicy punnet of strawberries all to myself.

These days they just taste so bland and they’re supposed to be in season. Even the really expensive ones taste crap.

So, no more strawberries for me. They’re not cheap either.

Am I alone in this?

I was surprised this year. Tesco ones were absolutely delicious last month. It’s definitely a seasonal thing.

I always sniff the boxes, strawberries with no smell also have no taste. And who doesn't want to look like a massive weirdo in public!

I live near Cheddar. Strawberry heaven here at this time of year.

Buy them in season. Smell them before buying. Don't by buy cheap ones. My favourite are from Waitrose

Avoid Elsanta strawberries like the plague. Grown for size, taste of disappointment.
