To wonder why the same rules don’t apply to Tattle?

Whenever any crime or scandal is discussed on mumsnet threads are shut down for libel reasons or contempt of court. But that’s all that is discussed on Tattle. Does anyone know why they aren’t subject to the same rules?

On the topic of this thread it's an American site where they have the first amendment and it's a mainly opinions rather than defamation but in America the onus is other way round so that the influencer would have to prove comments like "they're deceitful" is untrue which is pretty difficult and probably would be a Streisand effect. Would be very costly in legal fees and repetitional to take them on in the states and even then tattle is a user site and they have no idea who's using it unless they signed up with a work email address or something like that, but most probably use burners.

Mumsnet are shit scared of their revenue being pulled. Ie their sponsors and advertisers. Tattle doesn't operate on that basis.

What threads have been scrubbed? Mrs hinch seems one of the most popular and she makes millions a year. But her threads are still running? I was a regular and haven't heard of any threads going. They've been talking of shutting it down for years to no avail.

Tattle sails very close to the wind. It's why there is a campaign to get it shut down. It's also had to scrub threads and posts at the request of lawyers. It's a cesspit.
