I have seen it referenced so many times but I’ve never read it.
Been to mumsnet classics but there are 13 pages of thread titles and I don’t even know what the thread title might be.

Someone help me out here!

I adore this thread - never get tired of reading it (whilst also cringing and in pieces with laughter in equal measure!)

Screaming, wailing, sobbing, being escorted out… never gets old.

Thanks OP I would love to read some of the 'famous' threads on here that are so commonly referenced. I read the Mexican house thief one a while back and it was absolute gold.

Aaaah thank you @BlueKaftan

My life is complete.

Oh I remember that thread Smile

HommeSweetHomme · 08/07/2023 12:34

One of the best threads I'd ever read - I actually ended up in pain with laughter.
That poster needs to set up her own comedy site

I remember at the time I wondered why on earth the DH kept travelling to these sorts of places knowing what she was like - ground zero, Louvre, Sistine chapel. He was asking for it 🤣

Wavescrashingonthebeach · 08/07/2023 12:39

I mean I was moved to tears as a 17 year old college student in the WW1 memorials in France and Belgium but this is something else 😂

bigageap · 08/07/2023 12:55

Phenomenal

The things posters kept telling the OP to stay away from was the best part. It was also interesting that it's actually a thing with a name: Stendahl's Syndrome.

I welled up on seeing Michelangelo's David the first time and also at the 9-11 Memorial, but wailing? Never done that or seen it done.
