I need your help with sneaky DH

Took rings off last night left on side of the kitchen sink.
Came down from work and engagement ring has disappeared....mild panic.

Sneaky DH has hidden the ring. I've feigned disinterest but the stakes are high - we now have a game and I have all morning to find it.

All I've been told is it's somewhere in the kitchen. I've had most of the cupboards out and looked in all the glasses etc.

We have young DC so it's nowhere they would be able to find it.

All very petty and I was on the verge of texting for a clue....

I just can't get over his smug face coming and showing me where it was. It will be somewhere obvious I know it.

AIBU to ask for any suggestions? Please help - I need a win today

So you said is he tall .. look up high. The alcohol cupboard is above the sink. Our spare magnetic lock in there. Never used. I realised it has a sticky clip on it so you can attach it somewhere. Opened that fell out.

At least it’s not the usual my dh is an arse and financially manipulative but I’m still going to have another dc and be a sahm so I can be well and truly fucked.

It's quite sad reading some of the responses on here. OP is clearly happy and engaged with the game and has created a light hearted thread to help her win.

DH and I would never do something like this to each other, probably because we're a bit boring, but I don't think there's any harm in what is happening here.

It's nice to take a break from the endless "here's why my DH is shit, what do I do" threads every now and again.

I personally have very much enjoyed going along for the ride with OP, it's been an entertaining post to follow on a boring workday morning.

I'd hide my wedding ring and then 'fess up that unfortunately, I'd lost my engagement and wedding rings. Oh well.

Are there other useful things on the car keys? I wouldn't take the car keys, that's too obvious... I'd remove another useful thing from the fob though.

This made me laugh. My DD always did this if I took my rings off when making bread or pastry. Either hide them or swan about waving their beringed fingers saying 'do you like my new diamonds?'

I eventually resorted to hiding them in my bra! They are now adult and live away from home so I can leave my rings safely on the window sill without risking that awful moment of panic when I realise they are gone. But they still catch me out occasionally when they come to visit.
