MUMSNET HELP! Jelly Cat Kangaroo

JellyCatKangaroo · 05/07/2023 20:32

IABU asking but I've heard how good mumsnet is at this kind of thing. Has anyone got a spare baby jelly cat kangaroo they could let us have? I doubt we can locate the original. I'm Happy to pay p&p etc.

A precious jelly cat baby kangaroo has skipped off and is missing in Yorkshire when it should be back home in Scandinavia with it's loving distraught owner! Photos attached. Story below.

Family visited me from abroad for a long family weekend after I'd been extremely ill - itt was fantastic and just what I needed.

But, a very busy parent trying to keep the little ones safe whilst juggling suitcase, kiddies backpacks, her back pack and getting on the train and back to the airport lost sight of baby kangaroo.

I notified lost property immediately and have been down I think person less than 24h after and they've been useless.

Can anyone help?

There are lots available online 🙂

RedLem0nade · 05/07/2023 20:36

I see online there is a large version and a small version of “Kara kangaroo with baby”. Do you know which it was?

Large mamma is 37cm, small mamma is 20cm.

It was the baby that sits in the pouch.

Perfect - then you'll have a spare mama OP!

RedLem0nade · 05/07/2023 20:38

Actually it looks like the large one. Yes, available online!

Found it! Jelly.cats.kangaroo is in Queensland!

I know that's not what you meant, but that's what first came to mind...

Thank you to all of you sending links, I really appreciate you taking time to find them for me.

I don't cant buy a brand new one (cost) and she already has the mummy, who was left at home (too big to pack) - and then the postage abroad.

I just want to help my daughter (she feels so guilty) ad my little sad granddaughter.

If you can’t afford it surely the parents can just buy her the new one? They’ve just gone abroad but can’t pay the money to replace the most beloved toy?

Toothfairypaypal · 05/07/2023 21:08

There is one on Ebay, current bid is £10.00 and there’s just over an hour left.

Toothfairypaypal · 05/07/2023 21:09

Cross-posted with @InjuryTime 😊

Yes they could pay you back?

hohumpigsbum · 05/07/2023 21:15

I don't think anyone will give you just the baby?

Jewelanemone · 05/07/2023 21:15

Buy a new one, go halves with your daughter and give the bigger kangeroo away.

I guess if they've randomly lost the mum?

Get a new set, plus keep the original big one, then you’ve got a mummy, daddy and baby.

veryfluffyfluff · 05/07/2023 21:20

I mean it's not like it's discontinued so it's there if you need it OP. I'd just buy it.

The males don't have pouches. So it's mummy mummy and baby. Or perhaps a sister/grandma? Aunt?

Lougle · 05/07/2023 21:22

There are quite a few Karas without the Joey, so it's a common problem, I think.

Other family dynamics welcome. Or could get crafty and stitch the pouch shut.

Baby / mummy / nana might be nice if that matches the child’s own parent plus the relative they visited.

Yes that's a point - could be cute.
