R.I.P.

OP posts:
hunkermunker · 23/02/2008 22:52

I should, shouldn't I, ST?

Kewc, I think that there are people who don't understand wit. They're the most likely people to post "you're a bully" as well...

Kewcumber · 23/02/2008 22:52

dump the spreadsheet hunker- still with the spreadshite, far more appropriate

Kewcumber · 23/02/2008 22:53

it was like being back at school "Kewcumber has a tendancy to be inappropriately flippant"

Was there a worse sin?

WallOfSilence · 23/02/2008 22:53

I'm going to have to change my name as I insulted that many people. Well, someone's wife mainly.

Sycamoretree · 23/02/2008 22:56

I go back to work Full Time in one week, and I VERY SERIOUSLY considered blowing myself (my username) up on that thread in one big blaze of venenous, spewing bile and very serious swear words of a very personal nature so that MN HQ completely barred me from ever returning, but I went go down in MN history. I didn't though, you know, just in case I wanted to MN at work bitching about my bosses whilst they are paying my salary...

OP posts:
Sycamoretree · 23/02/2008 22:58

IME, it's always the bloody someone's wifes usernames, or someone's mummykin's usernames that you end up not being able to help yourself sticking it to. With apologies to the many someone's mummy's username types who totally rock on here...

OP posts:
Kewcumber · 23/02/2008 23:02

the temptation to namechange to KewcumbersMymmikins is almst irrestistiblebut I darent... for fear of being castigated for bullying mummikins around the world.

Desiderata · 23/02/2008 23:02

I didn't read the thread, but I agreed with the OP.

If you want to farm your kids off from 8 till 6, don't complain about the level of care. You took it out of your hands the moment you made the decision.

Stop whinging. The only reason you're all cross is because you're not in a strong position to begin with.

WallOfSilence · 23/02/2008 23:03

It was never about the level of care.....

gigglewitch · 23/02/2008 23:06

you bunch of rebels. posting on a "please don't post here" thread
hey, we resisted for a whole seven minutes and twenty two seconds I came to lurk and check three times during that, y'know...

sycamore, did you do that knowing we wouldn't resist the bait

is there an argument starting yet?

hunkermunker · 23/02/2008 23:08

Desi, did you read the thread? No. Was it about that? No. Are you out of line? Yep.

Kewc, you and me both with the inappropriate flippancy I could never resist a gag - even if it was going to land me right in it - I am only just over that now [lies through teeth]

hunkermunker · 23/02/2008 23:09

Just so I'm clear, Desi, are you saying it shouldn't matter to WOHMs how their children are being treated by their childcare provider?

Desiderata · 23/02/2008 23:10

Nope, I didn't read the whole thread, hunker. I've better things to do.

Like raising my kid, my way.

WallOfSilence · 23/02/2008 23:11

Can you explain what you mean by this comment?

"Stop whinging. The only reason you're all cross is because you're not in a strong position to begin with."

ruddynorah · 23/02/2008 23:11

and of ourse trying to start rows on the handful of threads you have posted on this evening desi

hunkermunker · 23/02/2008 23:12

Ach, you're in unpleasant arsey mode tonight - I shan't bother rising to it.

Desiderata · 23/02/2008 23:12

Yes, hunker. That's pretty much what I'm saying.

MsHighwater · 23/02/2008 23:13

Oh, Desiderata, you really shouldn't pontificate when you have not read the thread. There was even a link to some actual evidence that validated working mums!

glucose · 23/02/2008 23:13

see what I mean not dead at all jumped back up from behind
Desidera -
not whinging
not cross
it was just all a bit horrid and unhelpful

hunkermunker · 23/02/2008 23:14

Desi, I'm aware you want me to post apoplectically back to you, so I won't bother.

Peace and love, you unhappy soul.

PeachesMcLean · 23/02/2008 23:14

And this thread is different from the original thread because....

Dunno.

Sycamoretree · 23/02/2008 23:14

NO NO NO NO, I'm in charge here, this is my OP and it's for FUN to calm down from that infuriating thread, so I beg all my sista's of saneness, (you know who you are, kewc, hunk, wall etc al) to just ignore inflammatory posting here and just let's have a laugh before bed.

Gigglewitch - hmm, sort of. I mainly said that because I DID NOT want this thread turning into SAHM/WOHM rant part deux.

OP posts:
Desiderata · 23/02/2008 23:15

I have hardly been on any threads this evening. I've been watching the rugby.

You disagree with me, that's all. I disagree with you, that's all.

I agree with the OP's sentiment on the original thread. I agree with it wholeheartedly.

Kewcumber · 23/02/2008 23:15

oh goody if its all going to kick off again can I repost all the smae pots again - it would save time and we'd get to 1000 much quicker.
