Just been walking along the high street and was walking visibly in a hurry. One of those charity people tried to stop me and said "hey beautiful lady"

I politely said no thank you to which he replied "yeah right... beautiful, you wish!!!"

I mean really?!? Would you report to the charity?

What a cunt. Go back and tell him that.

Bromptotoo · 23/06/2023 13:53

This shouldn't happen but not sure it's worth the time/effort you'd need to invest to have it dealt with.

smithyyholden · 23/06/2023 13:55

This is probably true in fairness. Grrr it's really annoyed me. Why do people think they can be this rude!!!

I think the charity should know how its collectors are conducting themselves. I’d let them know - it doesn’t really require much time or effort, it’s just an email.

Nordicrain · 23/06/2023 13:58

I would tell them yes. Becuase what a wanker, and no charity should have someone like that representing them.

Justputitdown · 23/06/2023 13:59

I'd report. That's so rude.

Torven · 23/06/2023 14:01

Definitely report. They have codes of conduct for fundraisers.

I don't understand why the people who do this "job" all seem to have personality disorders.

Tinkerbyebye · 23/06/2023 14:12

Yes

WhatNoRaisins · 23/06/2023 14:19

Not my proudest moment but I remember telling one to fuck off after calling me good-looking. I'd had the shittest morning and knew perfectly well how haggard I looked.

You could report but the way chuggers conduct themselves it doesn't seem like they're held to high standards.

babbscrabbs · 23/06/2023 14:22

I would tell them yes

I'd want to know if someone behaving like that was a public representative of my organisation

Torven · 23/06/2023 14:23

Actually, which charity were they representing? I'll add it to my list of never-supports.

mosiacmaker · 23/06/2023 14:23

Definitely report that’s horrible!

thecatsthecats · 23/06/2023 15:28

I think having the words "can I have your badge number?" ready to deploy to be so useful in many situations.

ODFODeary · 23/06/2023 15:37

Definitely report them , he's a wanker

LegendsBeyond · 23/06/2023 15:39

Report it. What an idiot.

Tidsleytiddy · 23/06/2023 15:40

Utter cunt

Freyya · 23/06/2023 15:52

I would report it to the charity but I also have limited respect for charities that use bloody chuggers in the first place.

UseOfWeapons · 23/06/2023 15:54

Report. I'd want to know if I was a charity. He should learn to address women in a more respectful manner, sexist arse!

Retrievemysanity · 23/06/2023 15:55

Yes I would.

lollypops2303 · 23/06/2023 16:22

Nordicrain · 23/06/2023 13:58

I agree with this!! How rude!!

I would hope the charity would be mortified to have someone like that representing them and potentially causing them Dannie to their reputation!

darkmodeon · 23/06/2023 16:23

I would actually. On twitter. Publicly.

SleeplessinScarbourough · 23/06/2023 16:28

Yes report everywhere. Earlier had a charity seller at the door very quick to rudeness and hassle when I said I wasn’t interested. You can tell what their script is compared to their personality

DismantledKing · 23/06/2023 16:29

I’d report it. Fucking chuggers.

Mamabird2022 · 23/06/2023 16:31

I would completely report this. So because you didn’t stop to talk to the guy about the charity he has the right to insult you? Absolutely not

EmmaPaella · 23/06/2023 16:33

Yes I would. He is a) sexist and manipulative and b) outright nasty to abuse you because you didn’t fall for it.
