It's very varied; one day I could be based within police stations treating offenders in minor illness/injuries, getting their DNA to assist in prosecution. I do some work with domestic/sexual assault units, obtaining DNA of the offender from the victim and providing ongoing psych support to the victims. I can get called out to the community to rule out homicide if the cops find a deceased person. I also provide expert witness in court cases.

I travel to conferences across the US and also attend international conferences.

I love my job but I'm glad I do it part-time, the emotional labor can be intensive.

In most places it means wherever psychiatry or other branches of medicine and law intersect, so eg capacity and dementia. In the UK I think its use is limited to criminal law only.

Wow, that sounds really interesting. Are you an RGN or RMN or dual qualified? I'm an RMN and thinking about trying something new as I've been in my current role for a few years...

Please stop telling me it's your dream job. No, peonies aren't my favourite flower. No I don't care about your wedding or want to see your Pinterest board.

Doesn't sound like you like your job any more, pretty defensive comment and dismissive of anyone who uses your service. If it's that awful for you then maybe time to do something different.
