2 days head of comms at charity, 1 day freelance consultancy (a few similar clients), 2 days freelance writer (mostly books/magazines). It's a bit over-complicated and I think I would prefer 3 days at the charity and sack off the consultancy clients. But funding, contracts, etc

VeterinaryCareAssistant · 24/06/2023 14:02

I am a veterinary care assistant. I love it so much it's my username.

I clean equipment and areas, sterilise equipment, run bloods, dispense meds and take payments from clients.
I also hold animals for procedures, feed and water them, do their obs and take them out for exercise.
Plus, reception duties and restocking the items for sale.

Best job ever! Crap money though!

My company is the only one in UK who produces the main food product that we produce - so might be too outing! It tends to be working on products that we currently supply (to all major retailers) and reformulating (lower sugar/fat/salt) and a lot of paperwork! Before I started working in this career I had now idea the work that goes into getting a product on to the supermarket shelves
