I can confirm there was a tram derailment last night due to the lightning.

National Inter-Agency Liaison Officers. They work in areas where multiple emergency services are present to provide a liaison point between them all.

I believe they were set up after the Manchester arena attack.

There's Fire Engines and Police there, but have not seen any Ambulances. Whatever it is I hope no one is hurt.

Man arrested and 3 found dead, reports Sky News.

There’s been a multiple stabbing.

That's very sad news. It sounds like it is just one perpetrator though, and he is now in police custody, so hopefully that means it's over now.

As in being able to do something like that...

Such a strange time of day. First instant reported at 4am, so could possibly have been there a few hours, or not of course, but a strange time of day to commit these crimes.

3 people have been found dead in the streets and a van attempted to run over 3 people, who are now in hospital.

A 31yo man has been arrested and is in police custody

Dreadful to hear that three people have died and others are injured, but it really would be good to avoid speculation until more official news arrives

People are always going to speculate. Quite a large part of the city centre was closed, trams stopped and buses redirected, but there were no updates as to why this was.

Can you not fathom that there are processes, family to inform first and possible keeping things cloaked while trying to gather intel / possibly arrest others who are still in play etc

before they put updates out on Twitter? How about people just don’t speculate and let the authorities do their job.
