My downstairs neighbour snoring. We'll anybody snoring really but why is he so loud it wakes me up. I can't bear it! Ditto his very loud television. He must be deaf to have the volume up so loud but I don't want to hear it above my own TV or music or whatever. Also the kids across the Street kicking a ball against the wall/garage/fence. I'm in a very bad mood today & the noise is constant. I can't stand it. Aibu?? Do I have misophonia?

Sounds insane but i cried reading these because it makes me realise that I am not completely insane. I hate coughing, sniffing, chomping loudly on food, licking lips and my unbearable neighbours. The walls are so so thin and they know but still dont give a shit. The noises include plugs being plugged in, coming back in the AM drunk making noise with their friends in the weekday, radio noise, tv noise, sex noises, car doors slamming, doors slamming etc. I think this has been made worse since ive been at home and had my baby as I worked full time and probably didnt have time to even think about it ☹️ i just hate the feeling i really do so as I say im just glad i have read this post!

@Lulubye you are not insane!! Don't underestimate the impact of other people's noise. It is really driving me up the wall. To the point where I really want to drive to the middle of nowhere so I don't have to hear it

Next door's collie pup playing with his squeaky toy. Take the poor little fucker for a walk, you lazy bastard.

NDN shouting nasty, sarcastic abuse at his long-suffering wife.

Next door's water tanks empyting and refilling for 2 hours from 5.00 am, just the other side of the party wall and about 2' from my head.

Phone conversations conducted over loudspeaker in public places.

All noises that kids make, particularly shrieking & screeching. Also motorbikes. Oh, & chavvy families with their feral, bare-footed kids running around late & disturbing others when the sun comes out.

I am ND though, & v sensitive to noise. It's a burden, & I'm not miserable/intolerant; I just can't bear it & have to avoid loud noise.

Thank heavens I live rurally. A busy housing estate would tip me over the edge, particularly during the summer.
