So far after seeing it mentioned on here, it has removed my skin tags and has finally started to cure my toenail of the start of a fungal infection- I can't believe it!
It's so simple and everything else I had tried hadn't worked!

Apparently it can get rid of verruca's as well. But it's marvellous (although stinky) on the odd zit.

AtrociousCircumstance · 06/06/2023 09:23

So do you just apply it neat to skin tags? How long does it take to work?

I applied it directly (my bottle has a pipette thing) So I held tissue on the skin around it and just applied it direct. 2 skin tags off in 3 days!

It kind of crusts them a bit and you can twist them with no pain- then they just fell off!

I get cystic acne occasionally and it's the ONLY thing I've found that really helps.

Normally I'm a "nuke it with chemicals" type of person and view natural products with a bit of scepticism (too many MLMs touting essential oils on my Facebook feed). But tea tree oil? Hell yeah, cannot manage without it.

StressyErica · 06/06/2023 09:30

Ooh I love stuff like this. I'm getting some in so I can have a good old poke at my skin tags and other bits I can mess with (sporner alert). 😃

AtrociousCircumstance · 06/06/2023 09:32

Thank you @crochetmonkey74 !

GameofStrife · 06/06/2023 09:35

Oooooo I have atrocious skin issues. I'll give it a go!

AtrociousCircumstance · 06/06/2023 09:35

Can you link the brand with the pipette please? 😊

MandyMotherOfBrian · 06/06/2023 09:37

Where do you all buy it? I’m going to get some but there’s so many choices I’m wondering if it’s a bit like Manuka - ie there’s a lot of fakes?

ontheplayground · 06/06/2023 09:39

I've tried the Boots one and the Body Shop one and not noticed any difference between them really. Both were good.

LadyKenya · 06/06/2023 09:41

Yes it is amazing stuff. The indigenous Australians, Aboriginal Australians have been using tea tree oil for centuries. I have sometimes used it mixed in shampoo, if I have an itchy, dry scalp.

KeyWorker · 06/06/2023 09:41

Ive used the Body Shop one on spots and direct to DH’s toe nails. I also got a cheaper one in Home Bargain that I add to a foot spa every couple of weeks.

FrenchandSaunders · 06/06/2023 09:48

DD had horrendous molluscum a few years ago, her torso was covered in it and she was very self conscious. GP just said nothing he could do, it would eventually go. A year later, still covered, I started dabbing tea tree oil on every spot with a cotton pad .... a week later they had all disappeared.

DH thinks coincidence, but I don't think so.

My DD had this too and I think I'll give tea tree oil a go, did you put it on meat or did you add any carrier oil? I could try a few drops in the bath?

polkadotdalmation · 06/06/2023 09:55

Which one do you use for such things (toenails)? There's essential oil cosmetic products and all sorts of things in between.

crochetmonkey74 · 06/06/2023 09:55

I bought pure tea tree oil off Amazon

I think it was 9.99

I bought a huge bottle of it years ago to keep nappy bin from smelling when we used washable nappies.

Currently using it to make a nasty boil go down, and to try to stop foxes digging up my garden! You can also use it to make your own cleaning spray if you're crunchy enough for that! Still reminds me of cloth nappies every time I smell it.

FrenchandSaunders · 06/06/2023 10:07

@TotoAnnihiliation I used it neat, soaked a cotton wool pad and dabbed it on every night .... gone in a week. I couldn't believe it.

FrenchandSaunders · 06/06/2023 10:08

A few drops in the bath is a good idea, as well as dabbing them with neat oil.

colouroftherainbow · 06/06/2023 10:18

@ontheplayground do you just apply to the cystic acne itself? I get horrific deep lesions some months which just don't come to surface for weeks and then leave scars for more than 6 months. I am desperate for absolutely anything !

Katiesaidthat · 06/06/2023 10:25

I use it on my daughter. She got a nasty spot on the back of her leg that looked like a white spot and she said it hurt. Put tea tree oil on it and it has dried up. It is marvellous with acne too.

HairyMcHairyFace · 06/06/2023 10:33

I've got a horrible nail infection on my big toe so that's my evenings sorted. How frequently did you apply it?

Every day after every bath or shower, I file very gently with an emery board over the whole nail - then drop it on (1 or 2 drops is normally fine)

On meat?? That's one way to talk about your dd I guess! 😆

How do you use for acne? Seems like it would be too strong to dab on.
