To ask what irritating things do you unashamedly do?

I'll go first. I love puzzles. Every time I get a piece that fits I'll celebrate with three little taps on the piece with my fingernail. Every time. It must be infuriating to witness.

I also crack my toes and wrist joints which does drive dh crazy. I do my best not to in his presence, so not exactly done unashamedly..

I turn the tomato/brown sauce over so I get the very last bits out. I also join up the small bits of soap together to use. I am turning into my mother 😏

Make a point and when it's been agreed with, make it again in a different way.

Just thought of another annoying thing I know I do but can’t stop.
me: what time shall I book meal for?
husband: 7
me: I’ve booked the table for 6.30
husband: why ask when you know what time you want to book for

I tell very long stories. I have relayed the story of my nose piercing, from deciding to have it done, to the journey there, to the piercing itself, at least 6 times in the past week. My running partner is usually party to all these tales and she gets to hear this one next week. There's also the one about how my kitten got knocked down which I have relayed to anyone who seems remotely interested.
I think my stories are really interesting and entertaining but my DDS usually start looking bored (and they've usually heard them a few times before) 🤣

I don’t finish a sentence when I’m talking, I usually forget what I’m saying so tail off mid sentence. It drives the dcs mad.

I also sigh a lot apparently in conversation or when I walk up to people.

The dcs are very good at highlighting everything annoying that I do but don’t like it when I do the same back…

I'd like to see you live like most people had to growing up post war to the 60s, as my parents did. You wouldn't last five fucking minutes. I doubt anyone here would.

Eat loudly
Sing the bit of a song before it's that bit of the song
Tell people the whole plot of the book I'm reading
Get obsessive about things

When people start looking bored that really should be your cue to stop talking. Being regaled by really long stories about mundane stuff is horrendous.

@Funkyslippers my friend calls my stories Kennedys in that they can span many eras in the telling

My friend’s ExH would do this multiple times in a single conversation. I found myself agreeing with him more and more enthusiastically, but that didn’t shut him up.

I snore. According to DC2, the way I drink is very annoying.

That would annoy me a lot. Some of the people who do this will simply not turn up. Others will reply at the last minute to say they’re coming. Others will never respond, but turn up anyway and be baffled if you’re surprised to see them.

Can’t you just send a text along these lines? “Hi Emma, thank you for inviting me. Unfortunately, I can’t make it due to XYZ, but I hope you all have a great time.”

I performance sneeze but to be fair, I have Photic Sneeze Syndrome and when it happens it's fast and hard. And can happen up to 30 times in a row. By the time I reach about 15 I can't give a fuck if I'm pissing people off, it's absolutely debilitating

I have to turn the volume down very low on the TV and put the subtitles on

Stack up tea bags until they topple over instead of emptying the tea bag dish into the bin.

I can't stand women who sneeze in what I think of as a dainty, 'feminine', girly way. They go 'a-hoo!' in a sort of squeaky voice. They are also often the ones with what I understand are called 'tinkly laughs'.
