I'll go first. I love puzzles. Every time I get a piece that fits I'll celebrate with three little taps on the piece with my fingernail. Every time. It must be infuriating to witness.

I also crack my toes and wrist joints which does drive dh crazy. I do my best not to in his presence, so not exactly done unashamedly..

I'm a scream sneezer

evtheria · 03/06/2023 14:18

I don't relax and just sit down when guests are over. Worst case scenario: hosting Christmas and I'm constantly doing something in the kitchen or waiting for a reason (any reason!) to jump up and fetch something.

Funkyslippers · 03/06/2023 14:19

PauliesWalnuts oh God, people who interrupt drive me up the wall! I work with a lady who does this. She also just gazes off into the distance when I'm trying to talk.

I on the other hand have sinus trouble so I sniff a lot. Nobody has ever said anything though

UnctuousUnicorns · 03/06/2023 14:19

If I get a slight chill on my arms I will proceed to serially sneeze twenty to thirty times. 🤧 😳

Cracking my joints. I know lots of people hate the sound, DH included, but it hurts if I don't, so tough. My pain relief is more important that their irritation. I'm not obnoxious with it though.

LadyGrinningSoul85 · 03/06/2023 14:22

And before anyone suggests that I think boomers should be homeless.
No, but they don't need 4 bed houses.
Downsize.
Not that they will, because a lot are inherently entitled and selfish.

There, I said it. I don't give a shit how anyone responds as I won't be back to this thread to read it, so knock yourselves out 💁🏼‍♀️👋

QED, I think

Daffodilwoman · 03/06/2023 14:31

I talk to my cat and tell him to take care whenever he goes outside.
I also talk to the car. It has a name. This arose because I always have to buy old cars. Never been able to have the luxury of buying a brand new car and so I’m very grateful when said car (s) get me safely anywhere.

JudgeJ · 03/06/2023 12:57

Guilty as charged, well over 70 too.
When reading about how horrible we boomers are and how we should give up our homes to go and live in a tent, and all the other anti-boomer comments, I sit here and think how lucky we were to be such annoying people!

Pls ignore that nasty post above!! Why oh why do people have to be so bitchy on a lighthearted thread

Are me and DH allowed a two-up, two-down terrace?

Theoldwoman · 03/06/2023 14:35

buddyhollysglasses · 03/06/2023 12:06

Scratch & Sniff. But doesn't everyone secretly?

Mmm Scratch and Sniff what exactly?

Herecomestreble1 · 03/06/2023 14:38

I will forget your name the minute you tell me what it is.

CharlottenBurger · 03/06/2023 14:38

I really didn't realise there was so much hatred against over-70s. Should I start carrying a cosh around in case any Gen-Zers try to off me? I'd happily use it on some of them. They wouldn't see it coming, as they'd be glued to their phones with that daft vacant look they get on their faces.

ForeverFailing · 03/06/2023 14:39

I love you all 😂💐

I can't tell you in front of all these people.

can’t you share a bedroom? Maybe with a primus stove and a wash basin in the corner, then you wouldn’t need two floors. 😳

SingaporeSting · 03/06/2023 14:45

-Performance sneeze
-crunch crisps really loudly
-leave the kitchen/bathroom tap running while I’m cleaning teeth / wiping surfaces
-change my mind frequently

WoofWoofBeachLife · 03/06/2023 14:47

I crack my toes too OP, my DH hates it but it's a thing I just need to do or I can't concentrate or settle till it's cracked, especially the second toe to my big toe on the right foot. It makes an amazing crack 😆
I crack my fingers too. My DH breathes heavily through his nose when he's reading, you could blow dry your hair with the exhale! X

Hover waiting to clean up a mess before it's even finished being made.

Hi husband!

"Your side of the sofa is always messy"
"Your side of the sofa is directly next to the bin"
"Well, just hand me stuff when you need to"

  • 2 hours later -
"Here's something for the bin, oh husband" "I'm not just sitting here putting things in the bin"
  • Puts things on the side instead through the evening -
"Are you finished with that empty crisp packet?" "No, I was saving it for the memories"

One of us will end up under the patio, for sure.

LunaNorth · 03/06/2023 14:55

Repeat stories.
Fart.
Sing random snatches of songs.

I’ve basically turned into my late DF.

SlightlygrumpyBettyswaitress · 03/06/2023 15:13

Eating whilst fat.
Apparently my younger colleague finds it painful to watch, cos clearly I have no understanding that eating food is the root of the problem.
I am in equal parts amused, fascinated and irritated by this.
