children and nudity

I have one DS who is 5 and I was wondering what everyone's thoughts are when it comes to nudity. At the moment, I take him to the female changing rooms in a swimming pool if all other cubicles are busy. But not sure how long I can carry on doing this. Similarly, am still totally fine if he comes into the bathroom while am having a shower but again at what age do most people stop doing it? No idea how to navigate this, dont have any brothers and Dh has no recollection about him

Reading this I'm so glad all our local pools have mixed changing rooms with all cubicles. There are no communal changing areas with benches etc, just rows of cubicles and a few larger family cubicles too. I wouldn't feel comfortable sending my DS into a men's changing room by himself until he was probably of high school age - I'm shocked by those posters who suggest OP's DS is nearing an age of doing this.

To be honest, I don't think you're particularly unusual in that....

@SavvyWavvy are you or your child disabled?

@uhio989 could you get a big warm changing robe for him? A dryrobe type thing? My son can’t tolerate the chaos in the changing room after swimming lessons so we just chuck one of these on him and take him home in it.
