This is starting to really piss brass me off. Despite me making it clear how DS name should be pronounced I still have 2 friends who continue to mispronounce it. I wouldn´t mind but its not that difficult

Neither of them I see that often but even so I think its rude and disrespectful and it really annoys me.

AIBU?

oh, but reminds me on our name searching...imagine the scene:
me reading an english name book
me asking dh how do you pronounce this name [insert name of choice here]
dh's answer: how am I meant to know?
me, looking on wiht puzzlement, thinking tomyself, well...because you are the native english speaker here, lol...
very frustrating...honestly, couldn't the english just being sensible enough to have a phonetic language, lol

ds2 is called Felix (english pronunciation, fee-lix)

Well, 2 people have asked me if it is (wait for it) Felix or Phoenix?

I didn't know whether to laugh or just be mortally offended that anyone could think I would name my child Phoenix (no offence, back-pedalling swiftly).

I'm not a sleb btw
